Damn. I have to Pay for Nintendo land which is just gimmicks. I had a interesting thought earlier though, the scanner thingie on the controller- what if they made a little ROB that you could interact with via the controller.

I was thinking something similar, but then I saw their ghost level with a Van Gough-esque aesthetic to everything that would be almost impossible to see in an SD resolution.MrPopo wrote:I'm still not convined that a side-scrolling Mario needs to be in anything better than 480p. He doesn't exactly require complex facial animations and bump mapping to get the skin right.

There's a clear difference in style there. Just being hand drawn and colored isn't what I was talking about.
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Well this morning was dumb. I was reading all kinds of stories on CAG and Neogaf with people saying that some stores had no idea what they were talking about, some having a 12:01 pre-order time and others telling people to come in when layaway opens at 8 or 9 and some people saying that there were lines forming at some closed stores already at like 3 am. I went to Walmart at 4am because I thought they opened at 5 but the store sign said 6 so I went and got a coffee and got back around a quarter after 5. My stores line consisted of me and one other couple. Thankfully our store had layaway come in right away at 6 for the pre-orders as I guess they were expecting a line too. I could have probably left right now and still got one. Anyhow, I got mine pre-ordered. Either way I'm sure it will be better than standing in line on launch day hoping to secure one.

Muramasa was beautiful but soooo repetitive.MrPopo wrote:Muramasa says hello.Cronozilla wrote:I was thinking something similar, but then I saw their ghost level with a Van Gough-esque aesthetic to everything that would be almost impossible to see in an SD resolution.MrPopo wrote:I'm still not convined that a side-scrolling Mario needs to be in anything better than 480p. I had a guy asking me to put a Wii U on layaway for him at 12:30 AM. Guy couldn't even wait until morning, and of course layaway isn't open at night.Octopod wrote:Well this morning was dumb. So what games does everybody plan on getting at launch? I just plan on getting New Super Mario Bros Wii U and Batman Arkam City: Armored Edition. I'm also leaning towards getting Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Probably Black Ops 2 as that's a safe bet for a few hours of fun. Then maybe either Batman (depending on how much they change the game; I won't buy it if it's essentially a straight port) or Zombie U, depending on how well it turns out. I still remember Red Steel, after all.

From what I've heard, ZombiU is looking and playing quite well. Definitely that and NSMBU are on my list.BoringSupreez wrote:Zombie U, depending on how well it turns out. I still remember Red Steel, after all.
Older. Not wiser.
