So what have you guys been watching lately?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Once Upon a Time spoiler post:
Man the finale was awesome! Loved the fight with Maleficent. Totally curious what the ending means for the show though. I'm guessing it means we have magic in our world, not that everyone goes back to Storybook land. Thoughts?

Yeah, that seems to be what they were implying. I'm curious to see how this affects the rest of the world, assuming it does at all. That could be interesting. I'm actually wondering now if

magic actually did exist in that world at one time. Mr Gold said he was bringing back what was lost.

I love how well organized this whole season felt. It really seems like they had a road map for the story and stuck to it. Nothing about the season felt random or thrown into the story carelessly. It's amazing to see that in a show's first season. It already feels like a show that has hit its stride. I'm so glad this didn't turn into Heroes, where you get this great first season followed by a lousy finale

What a great moment when we got to see two fights from two different time periods being shown to us simultaneously as two members of the same family line both faced off against the same enemy. That enemy being a classic Disney villain was just icing on the cake. Plus, the events of the last few minutes of the episode successfully changed the game in a big way for season 2

Nikita upped the stakes in a HUGE way this past Friday. We've got a storyline involving satellite death weapons, a global, Illuminati-like secret society, and the US president himself , what more could you ask for from this show? I'm pumped and ready for the season finale

Both of these shows got renewed making me a very happy camper. TV is so friggin good right now! And that Game of Thrones episode last night, holy crap!

Can't wait for the OUaT finale! I watch 'em via Hulu Plus so I have to wait a day.

Gonna get into Nikita soon due to your writeups. Looking forward to it.

I'm happy to hear that. With the CW giving them a third season, this show may end up sticking around for a while. So it's a good time to jump on board and get caught up. There's so much I would love to say about the show, but I don't want to spoil anything as this is one of those great shows that likes to surprise you.

Season 1 starts off a bit slow, but you'll be hooked in by the end of it. Everything gets paid off and they throw in a gamer changer or two as well. I don't know if you're familiar with Nikita as a franchise. This show draws upon stuff from the original La Femme Nikita show that aired years ago on the USA network as well as the original Nikita French film and the remake Point of No Return. So as someone who has watched those I get an extra bit of nerdy joy from watching this show, especially when I see an actor from the old show pop up in a new role on this one or see a scene that reminds me of the movies.

It doesn't matter if you've seen the USA show, you can still follow the new one since it's a reboot set within its own continuity. So don't worry about that, it's just fun for me though seeing new takes on characters borrowed from the USA show and recognizing some of its actors as they are given new roles in the current show. I appreciate the fan service

Watched the last 2 episodes of The Sopranos. Wow, what a good show. I must admit that I was puzzled by the final scene and thought that there was something wrong with my recording. After watching it again, I googled and realized that it was intentional.

I came across this wordpress page that did a very good job of interpreting the ending. I'm clearly not a film intellectual and was amazed at how well crafted the ending scene and all of the hidden/subtle meanings that the writers of the show put in.

I have to agree with the wordpress writer that Tony Soprano died in the final scene. It was very clever that the way it was done, no one except for the director/writers would know that Tony died because the actual shooting was not filmed.

All in all, it was a great series. I'm going to take a little break from TV watching before I start on the next show (probably Mad Men or Arrested Development).

I was also surprised at how uncomfortable I was watching the scenes with Vito and his lover even though I do support LGBT rights, etc

Do you believe in the symbolic images? The Last Supper, the communion, haunted by every innocent Tony killed even in art, Meadow being an angel, etc?

Sadly watching the House slowly come to a close, and keeping up with the Finder, one of my new favorites.

Lately, my mom has been watching a lot of Ghost Whisperer reruns, so I've been watching that by association. Its an oddly good show. And I have to say, the girl in that is good looking. I find it good, and I do remember a couple of the episodes from when I was younger.
