I felt brawl's online was smooth for a large portion, but what it lacked was options in on-line battles. I want to see more on-line features and I am sure it will. I think Nintendo really wants to cater to the hardcore community with this game and make it as accessible as possible for a competitive fighting game so the more options and modes that make that possible, the better. I mean... they did make every level able to played in a final destination style to keep things looking diverse, which is a good sign so far!Violent By Design wrote: True, but Mario Kart Wii was pretty smooth online also. I think Smash Bros is going to be the big one on everyone's mind when it comes to online play as Brawl was a very big disappointment, which is a shame because Brawl was a good take on Smash Bros.

For some reason I missed that Super Mario Bros 2 (USA) was already on the eShop haha. Just used some coins to buy it! Looks like my Mario marathon continues and I'll probably be hitting up Galaxy 2 soon for the first time.
I'm way more familiar with the All Stars version of 2, so this'll be interesting.

After a long hard look down the Wii U road...
After 2 years my library will consist of 4 games (5 if you count the digital freebie from MK)-
Mario Kart 8 (Windwaker HD free)
Tekken Tag 2
Bayonetta 2
Smash Bros (and this is only for my local community of players)...
maybe Wonderful 101 and Mario Party, as I have heard good things.
The outlook for actually interesting games look bleak.
Just my opinion of course...

My tastes must be limited as shit, because I have had a hard time thinking of more than a few games I'd like to buy for the system since picking it up a few months ago. I haven't turned it on for more than a few minutes in at least a month, maybe two.ejamer wrote:I can understand ignoring multi-platform and re-released content like Rayman and Deus Ex (both great games, by the way)... but do you have no interest in even trying Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate? Those are all excellent games that -- in my opinion -- most people should at least give a shot. They are also all Wii U exclusives.cha cha wrote:...

The "must own" Wii U library is small, but if you can't find more than 4 interesting games on the system at this point then that speaks more about your limited taste as a gamer than anything. (You could easily say the same thing for any current gen console/handheld.)
In fairness, I feel the same way about the Xbox One so far and only marginally better about the PS4. The Wii U has a year head start, though, and less interesting games on the horizon than those other consoles IMO.

Speaking of owning few games for a system, my Sega Saturn library after 2 years of ownership was roughly.....4 games and a demo disc? Yeah. No wonder I traded it last month. No regrets though.cha cha wrote:After a long hard look down the Wii U road...

Well that is a testimony of the price of Saturn games and not the quality of Saturn games. The Saturn has a plethora of amazing, but expensive games.
As for the, "Bleak Wii U lineup," argument. Meh, it is just differing opinion of taste. Can't really argue with that.

Well, the Saturn will always be a few clicks away.MyNameIsVince wrote:
