I just felt like the story of Portal was perfect where Portal 2 gave me the impression that the writers were trying too hard to beat Portal instead of focusing on making Portal 2 its own thing. Still, it's a great achievement all around.

I've never liked Ben Kuchera much but he's being the target of a witch-hunt right now and it's pretty disgusting. The gist of it is that many think Polygon hiring him, a white cisgendered male, promotes a "boys club" culture and that they should have hired someone else instead. Very nasty and, as I said, I don't like the man myself.

EDIT: I mean I don't like the man as a writer, not as a person, as I don't know him.

This guy is appropriate for the job, right? As in they are hiring him for a job that he has the skills to do? Why the hell does it matter then?

And I had to look up cisgendered, that's new to me. Didn't know there was a word for that.

Eh, yeah, first one may be fine, but it'll be low res with fans whirring the whole time. If you had a newer system with IGP or something it'd likely do fairly well.

You'd get the general gist just jumping to Portal 2, since half of the first one is practically a tutorial anyway (challenge modes excepted).


Really is a series that deserves to be played. Short, to the point (well, less so with 2), and well crafted.

Red Dead Redemption first though... Well this a really nice game, is basically GTA with horses but it really gives fresh air to the old formula. Only played for 1-2 hours but i stoped since are people coming over this night. But i think this might be a game where i'll get into for a good while.

I liked RDR 100x better than any of the GTA games I played. RDR drew me in a lot better, and I actually cared for the characters. The challenges and sidequests also gave some good fun outside of the main storyline, something I can't really say GTA did.

It reminds me a lot to GUN... but bigger and with more stuff to do. wich was exactly what i wanted from GUN when i finished.

Pretty much. If I remember correctly, Rockstar published GUN, or something like that. I wish they made more western games, they really don't make enough.

So maybe i can change my GTA 4 for a Skyrim copy on the PS3. The thing is that i remember the fallout 3 port on the PS3, the last mission was so laggy and unplayable that i got it on PC and never look it back.

So has bethesta made decent port this time?

Not quite. However, Rockstar did have Red Dead Revolver on the PS2 and Xbox.

Check out Gunman's Proof sometime. It's an import only Super Famicom game that's basically Zelda ALTTP with a cowboy theme.
