Just whatever you do, keep deathcore away from me, because I have a few choice words to say about it.

On the bolded area...
1. Not a genre, that's basing the genre on lyrics, which is wrong.
2. Y U NO LIST AMON AMARTH?
Does it really matter what if its a genre, subgenre, who cares? I knew someone would complain about it. And I don't care for Amon Amarth. Just personal preference.

I'm listening to Five Finger Death Punch. I've never been a metalcore guy, but I heard one of their songs on Lollipop Chainsaw and decided to check out their Way of the Fist album and I'm enjoying it.
I'm actually thinking about checking out Enslaved and Bathory too, two viking metal bands that get name dropped in Lollipop Chainsaw. Great music in that game

Woah, Enslaved and Bathory are in Lollipop Chainsaw? Dang, had no idea there was metal in it at all.

Well, they are simply mentioned. There is actual level music in the game by Children Of Bodom, Arch Enemy, Dragon Force, and Five Finger Death Punch though
The game actually has a pretty eclectic soundtrack. One minute you're hearing 80s music, then it's noise pop, then Joan Jett and The Blackhears, then Toni Basil's Mickey, and then suddenly it's metal. That's in additional to the normal video game music composed by Jimmy Urine and a guy who composed some of the Silent Hill games.

FFDP is a great band, and Way of the Fist is probably my favorite album by them, either that or War is the Answer. What's great about this band is that they are way better live, which is rare.

Saw Iron Maiden last night in Sacramento, it was freaking amazing! Greatest concert I have EVER seen. They rocked it so hard! They put on a helluva stage show. They sounded fan-freaking-tastic live. And Bruce Dickinson is a kick ass stage-man! And the opening band, Coheed & Cambria, wasn't bad. I think I'm gonna have to check them out.
Now I just need to see Megadeth and Metallica, and I'll die a happy metal-head.

How much do Iron Maiden tickets run? I'm just looking for a rough ballpark.
There's something hilarious to me, being someone who loves country and metal, to drive through town with the Ipod on shuffle. I'm in the middle of Gruene, home to what they clam is the oldest country dancehall in Texas, blasting Metallica, then Hank 3 (Assjack CD), and then running out some Amon Amarth.
The looks I got...

It was $60, and well worth every penny.

We were supposed to be getting Lamb of God and Dethklok down here in Atlanta, but due to LoG's legal trouble in the Czech Republic, the tour has been cancelled apparently. This saddens me, as Gojira was also playing, and I wanted to see them.
I also recently picked up Ghost's debut album, and I love it! I can't wait for their next release.

I don't listen to much Doom Metal, but if I can find more bands like this, I think I'll get into it a lot more.
