What was the last movie you've seen?

Kung Fu Panda 2. I thought it was pretty good but had one of those really cheap endings that will certainly open a door for another sequel.

The ending was the part I liked least, for that reason. Why does everything have to be a trilogy anymore? Money, of course.BRIK wrote:Kung Fu Panda 2. I thought it was pretty good but had one of those really cheap endings that will certainly open a door for another sequel.

Guys, they've planned Kung Fu Panda to be six movies.
Besides, so what if the last 30 seconds of the movie were meant to segue into the next sequel? All of the movie's plot lines and issues were wrapped up and resolved by the end.
Everything was self contained. It just happened to have a little teaser on the end of it. Big deal. Its not like it was a cliffhanger.

Then it's settled, we are directing a musical/superhero/drama movie about superheroes with economical and physical issues on the 80'sREPO Man wrote:Pfft! If RENT crossed over with any comic book property, it'd have to be Spider-Man. Ironically, not only was Spidey mentioned in RENT (not the film version), but Neil Patrick Harris has played both Peter Parker (in MTV's "Spider-Man") and Mark Cohen, the main character of RENT.KillerJuan77 wrote:Ok, a Rent/Green Lantern crossover would rock![]()
Anyways, I just saw Mullholland Dr.
David Lynch, will you marry me?

I don't hate it for the fact that I thought it was a cliffhanger, I hate it because like BoringSupreez said, they're just doing it until they make no money out of it anymore. They're going to squeeze all the charm and life out of it, like the same makers (Dreamworks) already did with Shrek.CFFJR wrote:Guys, they've planned Kung Fu Panda to be six movies.

Hobo With A Shotgun
That was intense, although I felt horrible laughing at the bus scene. Still, it's pretty entertaining.

I understand what you mean, but I can't really look at Kung Fu Panda that way.BRIK wrote: I don't hate it for the fact that I thought it was a cliffhanger, I hate it because like BoringSupreez said, they're just doing it until they make no money out of it anymore. The quality of the writing and the story in Kung Fu Panda is head and shoulders above Shrek. It strikes me as a series that the creators really do care about (whether or not Dreamworks as a whole just sees it as a cash cow). I feel like they've got a story to tell.
Maybe time and the next movie will prove me wrong, and maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I'd rather assume it'll be good than assume it'll be bad you know?
Also, I don't think the knowledge of the coming sequel hurts the quality of this movie taken on its own.

Shrek 2 was pretty good as well, IMO it went down hill after 3. But as you said only time will tell.

Grosse Pointe Blank

Comedy about a hit man going back to his ten year high school reunion. Okay the story sounds silly but a nostalgic ride of great 80s music. I looked up Amazon for the soundtrack song listing. Why is it that soundtracks only have about a third of the songs heard in the movie! I ended having to look up the movie credits to see all the songs missed.
Interesting that there is a Doom II arcade cab in the movie, a mockup.
