Re: noiseredux vs. Dreamcast (uh... redux?)
added a write-up on Pac-Man (NGPC) and also a reminder that the blog section of the site is where I've been posting my "finds of the day."

Good Grandia II write-up. Such a fun game.
Do you ever plan to play the first Grandia?

yeah possibly. I used to have the Saturn port, but it looked like too much work w/o knowing Japanese. I did buy that Japanese Demystified book you recommended. But a year later I'm still on the first chapter.

There's never enough time in the day to do everything is there? My Japanese has slipped significantly now that I don't work with exchange students.
Still managed to get through Ys on Saturn the other week though.
Anyway, you could of course get the English version of Grandia on PlayStation.

I would assume you could beat Ys even if it were in a language you don't speak. You've played thru it enough times, right?

Of course. The thing is my interest in the Grandia series came from reading Service Games in which there's a good chunk devoted to how Grandia was marketed as this Final Fantasy VII killer on the Saturn... and then never came to the US. So a part of me loves the idea of playing it on Saturn for that reason.

Yeah I guess so.

I can understand wanting to play Grandia on the Saturn. It's the original version after all. I have both variations - I've heard plenty of hardcore fans claim the Saturn version is better, I simply find them to be "different."

Re: noiseredux vs. Dreamcast ....version 3.0?
hey doods. Who says you can't go home again?
I'm working on rebooting the NR VS DC site. There's not a ton up there yet. There's currently 3 old (like, dating back to 2011) write-ups, and one brand new one (NFL 2K). I have roughly half of the old articles archived, and I'll be slowly re-uploading those intermixed with new content. Ideally, I'm trying to get new screenshots taken for all the old articles but it's a somewhat slow process. There's nothing on the blog yet either but I'll be getting to that shortly as well. At any rate, I like the layout of the new site.

Re: noiseredux vs. Dreamcast ....version 3.0?
re-published an old Gunbird 2 write-up I did from 2011. It's horrible, but I like the charm of having these old write-ups archived when I can...

Do you intend to eventually play everything on the Dreamcast?
