I like how at office I work in, it is socially acceptable to talk about Fantasy Football but conversations about pinball or arcade games get frowned upon as being nerdy.
I'd point out that it's the sports fans in the office that are the ones playing RPG's but it probably would not go over very well.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Well that was interesting, listened to the first five tracks> Certainly not what I had expected. I was expecting dude with a guitar kind of stuff to be honest. What tools did you use to make the songs? I didn't listen to every track but that was some weird stuff. Out of the tracks I listened to I like Chaos the most.

I used a combination of late 90s loop creating and sequencing programs, some playing around with wav editors, some basic midi creator stuff, and some files that I purposefully degraded sound in by using various tools (digitally and physically).

I have to admit, I kept my pistols close at hand for a while. I have a feeling the fool wasn't even in the same state, but still..better safe than sorry.decenttyler wrote:StuntDouble wrote:Earlier tonight, I got a phone call from a private number. I usually don't answer if the number doesn't come up, but what else did I have to do tonight?
So, this gangsta sounding fellow asks for some dude named Zeke. When I tell him he's got the wrong number, he says
"Like Hell I do. You tell Zeke he I'm coming to get my f*ckin money!"
It went back and forth like this a little longer, with me trying to explain that I don't know Zeke, never heard of him, wrong number..Finally he tells me to tell Zeke to have his money ready, because he'll be there in five minutes. If Zeke doesn't have the money, he's going to kill him, and shoot me. Then he hung up.
That was a couple hours ago, so I guess Zeke either coughed up his money, or him and his buddy got shot. That's intense. Keep an eye on your local news for a gunshot victim by the name of Zeke.

I just listened to more of it at lunch and it's all excellent. If this were on Bandcamp or something I would definitely buy it.dsheinem wrote:Thanks YoshiYoshiEgg25 wrote: Yeah, I've listened to the first few and it's really good stuff.
And just thinking of the old software you used to make it...jeez. I can't imagine what you'd manage with new software.

This is true too. I kind of regret not having a bit more fun with it now.
It does seem my number was associated with some shady individuals before. Ones that didn't pay their bills going by the number of collection calls I get.
