I don't entirely understand why anyone wants this. I get the feeling it will be shoved into the bottom of so many closets by the end of next year. With the numerous better options, these days, I don't see any explicit value in it. So it surprises me a bit than anyone will buy it, but I suppose it shouldn't.
For casual gamers yeah it's just a silly toy they'll get bored of fast.

For collectors it's a cute little official Nintendo product and yeah it will end up on a shelf but that's what collecting is.

Ultimately it's a stocking stuffer. Don't think about it too hard.

I got one because I still don't own a NES and I figured I probably won't ever get one at this point. I'm not young anymore, I have a family, a home and limited space and limited finances, so I'm at a point where I'm really not buying (m*)any more games consoles. So for me, it's just a cool little product, that didn't break the bank and allows me to play a reasonably authentic NES experience.

*Although I need the Switch!

From what I understand the Wii Classic Controller Advantage was repackaged as a NES Classic controller; 3rd party EMiO did not Q/A their product thoroughly for the NES Classic. I suspect an issue of the stick emulating the analog stick instead of the Gamepad?

For anyone who owns both the NES Classic and 3rd Party Capcom Tatsunoko Arcade Stick; can you check if the stick works when set to each of the three modes off its slide switch? Be sure to power off on after each selection of the Arcade Stick. Probably would work when the stick is set to DPad mode?

Now that I think about it, the two 3rd party EMiO controllers (Auto Fire Gamepad and Advantage Stick) might go clearance since they are not compatible with the mini console after all! Waiting for some to be returned as "defective" back to the stores, might buy one of each for my Wii.

Please post once you test that out!

I was at Best Buy today, they had a returned NES Advantage sitting up front two days ago. Too late, the controllers are now on Factory Recall and it was already sent back! A shame, would make a great Wii Classic Stick. Ah well, at least I have my two Tatsunoko sticks as well as Mayflash Adapters for the huge supply of PS2 Sticks.

Still, would like to get the NES Emio Advantage for use on my Wii, have to keep vigilance..... :?

Emio RECALL - NES Classic Gamepad / Edge Joystick
Oh crap, the repackaged Emio Wii Classic Controllers to NES Classic are on official recall! Emio may or may not release this getting to be rare and costly controller. Best Buy lists it as "Out Of Stock - This Item No Longer Available" and immediately processes any returns as Recall. Gamestop as well lists it as "Not Available". A shame, the remake NES Advantage very solid with switches inside for Wii and WiiU 2D games.

Best Buy - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/emio-the-ed ... Id=5655564

Gamestop - http://www.gamestop.com/accessories/edg ... ion/138443

Due to precaution as Toy Safety Recall, a difficult returns repurchase!

How strange, why would Nintendo comment on a product that isn't theirs?

I think that link is just a News Site, not part of Nintendo? Maybe due to the popularity of the NES Classic getting the word out on the incompatibility or if Nintendo a tease of only using their official gamepad?

I think that is the same seller (appears to specialize in Video Gaming) at Amazon I posted at the top, maybe has a stock of them? I went back just now to see if the order was shipped and found another 3rd party BELOW MSRP $23.05 shipped! Requested a cancel from the first order (preparing for shipment) explaining it was above the MSRP; placed an order for the lower priced unit from the other seller. Not a big deal if the first order does not cancel out claiming already shipped, a backup controller might be good. :?

EDIT
Did anyone else take advantage of this? The first higher priced order did cancel per my request. Now the lower priced seller listing is gone, maybe bought one of only few they had? That lower priced seller is still locked preparing for shipment; I hope my Black Friday order goes thru and does not cancel as well making me oops red!

You know what's funny? I'm not sure if this picture would even work with the NES Classic's controller cable length.

The latest is the lower priced Seller canceled my order stating none in stock! I ended up going back to the previous Seller that I canceled the first go around and just confirmed....

Emio FACTORY RECALLED Edge Joystick has been shipped!
