I am going to be pessimistic for just a second. Is the reason why all tbe game footage of zelda has been on Wii U because it is more powerful amd looks better on wii u?

I've got it pre-ordered for Wii U, and I'll be pre-ordering for Switch, too. I'll probably change my view over the next couple weeks. I was EXTREMELY opposed to the idea of a handheld/console hybrid at first, but the idea has really grown on me, and I'm extremely excited about the prospect now. I suspect my general attitude towards the Switch will follow a similar adjustment period.

The price is what I really need to know before I decide how hype I'm getting. I'm going to guess a $299.99 or $349.99 price point (my money is on the former). I'd be okay paying up to $400, but Nintendo doesn't have the power in the market that it once did that would allow for a price that high. I think they need to have a price at or below $300.

You'll come around, I'm not worried about you yet. I agree with your pricing guesses though. They can't afford to go much higher without cutting out a major part of their market but I can't see them selling at a loss.

It wont without some added parts I guess as its not a motion device from the looks of things, and perhaps not even touch too, or if it is it will only be with it as a tablet or for certain games for only off tv play unless they make some touch sensor accessory like the pad button in the middle of the ps4controller.

Theres no way this will be weaker than the WiiU, going into am ARM and Tegra box over what the current nvidia shield device can handle and coming off of 3x over baked gamecube parts ATI and IBM PPC with a really crappy coding language and setup on their now dead box. I think perhaps the WiiU ports you see the graphics and audio assets are probably easy to lift but the games will have to be recoded if they do it in some large part.

I don't really care about power. Xenoblade, Bayo 2, 3D World, Wind Waker HD, Tropical Freeze, etc are some of the best looking games I've seen in the last 10 years or so. Also Nintendo's stuff is generally crafted very well and runs better than other games. Art style goes further than megabits.

So yeah, there's my thoughts on the power war here. I could careless. Thank goodness this is different than the X1 and PS4.

The Switch looks pretty cool! I'm curious what Dragon Quest XI will look like on it. It will probably be closer to the PS4 version.

Given that it's a subscription MMO, how many fans would have wound up playing it anyway?

I know I would have avoided it looking how those MMO FF games ended up. Not into characters being supported by monthly pay or theyre gone and I like my RPGs alone, I can do a Guild Wars setup otherwise.

DQ11 looking at 7 on 3DS now Im really interested in seeing how it plays out. I would have considered the 3DS one if it still makes it but damn if Switch ends up this good as people are hoping for and being a handheld that docks Id rather get that.

As long as I get my Dragon Quest XI 3DS with combo modern and retro graphics I'm happy.
