Sounds like a great way to get your ass kicked.

I've been listening to a lot of Usurper, who I wouldn't know how to classify. They're just heavy as shit.

Who gives a crap what the lyrics are saying as long as the metal sounds good. I don't care if it's a Christian Metal band or a Black Metal band as long as they can play.

I do, but I wasn't really talking about the content so much as the ridiculousness of the phrase "deathdoom unblack metal".

My point, sabrage, was how ridiculous this naming thing is getting nowadays. Its somewhere between funny and taking it too seriously.

I don't mind it too much, but when the song is telling me to burn churches, cut myself and make blood sacrifices to the devil, I get kinda miffed. (Suprisingly, I actually pulled those from a song)

I think all metal should be taken with a grain of salt, but anyone who takes the time to pick out 3 genres for themselves (much less anything as stupid as "unblack metal") is trying too hard.

From the name alone I immediately thought "Celtic Frost worship"

and that's exactly what it was

I was pleased

Vocalist even sounds like Tom.

"Unblack" is a term I've heard used to describe Black metal that isn't directly attacking religion. Its really a dumb form of naming, thus why I chose that example. However, I can't personally tell the difference between black and death. I can mainly tell the difference between bands, I'm weird like that.

^That's a great picture. I can just see Slayer, looking like they just murdered somebody, eating tacos and screaming like little girls going down the Master Blaster at Schlitterbahn, while it spurts the blood of virgin chickens.

IF ENNEE of you guys are from CT (which I kind of doubt and in which case, you're probably better off that way) my band is throwing a show at Cherry St. Station in Wallingford... so far we have a deathmetal/core band Priapism, a hardcore/metalcore/somethingcore band She Walks Without Legs, my weirdcore/artcore/wedon'tcarewhatcore band Beat the Doll and a couple othercore bands that we're still working on booking.. it's gonna be on Sept 7, this'll be our first "real metal show". HOpe you can make it

Genres aren't defined by lyrical content, and they aren't ideological movements either.
