So what have you guys been watching lately?

Other than Clannad (anime), mostly Regular Show, Adventure Time, and occasionally a couple sitcoms. I don't watch much TV.

IIRC, season 9 isn't considered to be too hot.

Okay, Once Upon a Time is looking like a future contender for one of my all time favorite shows. With these last few episodes every question you could have is being properly answered and they are building up to an exciting season finale. That's some good writing, and they had Jane Espenson writing the last episode too. She brings a little magic to any show she works on.

I don't watch much tv, but I enjoy Game of Thrones, Dexter, and some Family Guy once in a while.

Oh yeah, I've got to say that one more thing that really sucks about modern South Park. Stan and Kyle, and the kids in general are acting like grown ups, all knowing, rational and all that. Butters is the laughing stock of the whole series and they need Eric to be the immoral bad guy. In earlier South Park episodes the kids acted like kids, which is also the reason why they could do all kinds of un-PC/hilarious stuff because the boys were too young to understand many things. The childhood innocence was there, but it also showed that kids arent the sweet angels their parents believe them to be. It's hard to see a South Park episode these days where Kyle doesn't call Cartman bigot/racist or something like that. I don't want to underestimate children's intelligence but in modern SP they are using too many big words and being WAY too political for being so young.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I think you're missing the entire point of South Park.
Stan and Kyle are Matt and Trey. Big words aside, young children usually don't go around calling people "stupid fucking asshole jew" in front of their own Mother. Stan and Kyle have always acted as adults, and have always seemed more intelligent than their own parents.
I feel like I'm continuing to talk about South Park with people who don't watch or follow the show. Not too surprising as in the past two or three days people post "I don't watch much television" in a "what are you watching?" thread.

South Park is sort of like Calvin & Hobbes, in that you need to suspend your disbelief about the kids' intelligence and vocabulary. You have to get past that if you want to enjoy the show. Just imagine them as tiny adults or something.
