You can remove that label from the glossy cover if you go slow. Stretch the price label as you peel. Goo Gone or Liftoff 2 will clean any remaining glue.

With the April deadline approaching of GBA games going away, how much longer before Gamestop stops selling Gamecube and PS2 games? Very likey this year maybe even by summer?

Inexpensive, and a huge Selection. Get them before the the cases and manuals get tossed!

My local Gamestops have about less than 10 gamecube games each. All of them are either disc only games or Double Dash for $20. I think the Gamestops around my area are going to stop selling Gamecube games sometimes soon. Maybe before the GBA April deadline, which I wouldn't doubt.

Gamestop, while I don't like the fact they are completely phasing out retro games, they are a very good gaming retail store. They are quick and convenient and their prices are the same as anywhere else, sometimes cheaper than buying a game online. Also trading games in is a quick and easy process with no ifs, ands, or buts. They are always very well stocked and can generally be trusted with selling high quality used games. They are open all hours, which is another upside. When it comes to retro gaming, they suck, but you need to look at the big picture. If they sold SNES games rather than Xbox 360, I'd be happy, but they'd lose billions of dollars, cause it's rare people still have, or at least play, a SNES.

Yeah, it's real easy. You just give them your games and they give you the spare change in the clerk's pocket in return.

This the reason why so many disc based games are in generic cases at Gamestop. Last week I saw a kid trade in some PSP UMD games. The employee wouldn't accept one of the complete games due to separation of the housing, that makes sense. Yet they did take the incomplete other two and not even get the case from the rejected game. The incomplete games had rubber generic protectors, even those was given back "We can't sell these", leaving the UMD trade ins with no case whatsoever.

On the plus for right now, Gamestop still the best deal for online search and finding used games. As long as they continue to sell PS2 I'm there. As soon as only current generation games will be sold, then there is no longer any reason for me to shop at Gamestop.

Couple things I can never figure out:
1. Preorder a product just to get a bonus DLC hype. Six months later its half price.
2. Buy an opened "New" game when its the same price sealed at a competitor.

Another store chain called Bookoff is expanding their game selection. They require COMPLETE games to buy back. This will be my source once Gamestop kills the PS2 inventory.

Hope they do, its a great store! West Coast, New York and Hawaii for right now. A Japanese owned company, so there are a ton in Japan. Also in Korea, France and Canada.

They recently started accepting Console trade ins at my location. The best is all the import game stuff right here locally!

I had to go to RadioShack today (see my latest post in the "I Just Got the Original Home Console" thread on the Other Platforms board). RadioShack is in the mall, so while I was there I took a look inside Gamestop at the mall.

I asked about the GBA games not being carried anymore. The guy tells me that their particular store has already stopped carrying them and they sent them to another store in town. So I asked if he knew about any discounts coming up on GBA games. He said he didn't know. Then he proceeded to tell me that there weren't any Pokemon games anyways, so don't bother. I told him I wasn't interested in Pokemon games anyways, in those exact words, I wasn't being snotty about it or anything. He then goes all nerd-rage mode on me and proceeds to tell me why Pokemon is awesome, puts his hand out towards me like a high-school girl with attitude, then deliberatly turns around and talks to his co-worker instead of me. I just kind of look around in a "what the hell" sort of fashion, and walk away.

As a huge Pokémon nerd but a dude who likes other GBA games, I'm not sure how to respond to this.

Maybe you should tell him about my website. :P
