You know it's kind of a shame that Tony Kahn (and later Kenny Omega) burned any bridges that might have existed between AEW and Marigold. There's going to be great talent in that company (there already is) and imagine how fun a Marigold show potentially featuring both AEW and WWE talent could have been.

I just think it was a bit foolish and premature for Tony Kahn to shut that door with Rossy Ogawa so quickly, especially with WWE suddenly so interested in working with other companies. We're never going to see Mercedes vs Giulia. Tony better try and get Mayu Iwatani on Forbidden Door because some people think she might go to Marigold when her contract with Stardom is up.

So here's some ideas I have bouncing around in my head

Here's one fun thing I might do for Forbidden Door if I was booking and who knows, maybe it actually happens

Hangman shows up and attempts a Buckshot Lariat on Swerve. Swerve moves out of the way and Hangman knocks out Ospreay. Swerve tosses Hangman out of the ring and pins Ospreay. Now we have a Hangman/Ospreay feud. The fun is in the chase, I don't want Ospreay to become a world champion too soon. They strapped Swerve and already some of the fanbase has lost interest in him. Tony Kahn doesn't know how to book faces after they become world champions, so the longer it takes to strap Ospreay the better.

I would actually have Ospreay suffer his first loss to Hangman and put the International title on him. Ospreay would lose the match via interference from Don Callis. I would have Hangman join the Don Callis family and become their top guy. Hangman needs a fucking title and some credibility. He hasn't had a major win of any kind in ages. I'm confident enough that a program between him and Ospreay can get even more heel heat on Hangman especially if you involve Don Callis. Ospreay shouldn't have any trouble remaining over as a babyface.

I would have Swerve do a face vs face feud with Orange Cassidy for the world title leading up to a pay per view where Swerve retains. I would do this simply because anything involving Cassidy will retain fan interest and it's time to remind people that Cassidy can be a world title level contender. I would follow this with a title feud with Jay White where White might possibly win the title. Of course, Bullet Club Gold would be heavily involved in the match outcome. I would then continue the feud between them until it becomes a fucking blood feud that has to be settled in a cage or something. As soon as Swerve is about to regain the world title from Jay White, he somehow gets screwed by Hangman. We move on to a Hangman/Swerve feud and then a Jay White/Will Ospreay feud for the world title.

I don't think Ospreay should win the title just yet either. I agree Tony really struggles when booking face champions.

Here's Swerve and Ospreay having a banger of a match back in 2016 for Progress (Don't ask me why Imgur has flagged it as having potentially erotic or adult material  ): https://imgur.com/a/9YxgP6z

So a few interesting notes on Deonna Purrazzo in light of what's going on now:

She's defeated Roxanne Perez for the Ring of Honor women's title in a winner take all match in TNA where she put her AAA women's title on the line.

She's defeated Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts title and then retained the title in a rematch against her. She would later defeat Jordynne Grace and become champion again when Mickie James vacated the title

Purrazzo could literally walk into NXT or TNA right now and tell both of those ladies, "I've beaten you before and I can do it again"

She has also successfully defended the TNA Knockouts title against Thunder Rosa, making their recent AEW feud all the more interesting:

Purrazzo could be a big deal in AEW, which is why it perked my interest when Tony Kahn signed her.

Interesting tidbits about about Willow Nightingale:

She lost to Roxanne Perez in a match for the Ring of Honor women's title

She also lost to Deonna Purrazzo in a match for the Ring of Honor's women's title after Purrazzo had taken it off of Roxanne Perez. If the Forbidden Door between WWE and AEW was open, a match between Willow and Roxanne could have been interesting, particularly while Willow still had the TBS title. Willow has only recently started to really come into her own and become a big deal due to Mercedes and the TBS title.

On another note, Mina Shirakawa's English is impressive.

AEW could really do something with her if she takes the title off Toni Storm, which they definitely seem to be hinting at

Becky Lynch is now a free agent, there's a lot of skepticism that she won't return to WWE, but what if somebody could sign her for a one off appearance or something? Like, I don't know, some event revolving around a "restricted entrance" or something? Just a thought...

JoJo Offerman is officially insane:

Fun fact: 6 out of 10 of the 10 top rated women's matches in AEW history according to Cagematch involved Shida.

That's pretty damn impressive. I'm betting at least one of them was with Sereena Deeb. Shida has been a real AEW Stalwart. She fees like an AEW original. I feel like she always has bad luck with her championship reigns though. What she does outside of AEW is interesting. She does some acting, cosplaying, and she has some videos on youtube of her...pole dancing. Those are uh...fun to watch

She feels in some ways like AEW's Asuka. They both have fun youtube channels and seem to be gamers.

I used to watch Asuka's youtube channel. It was fun and she seemed really down to earth.

Yeah, the 2nd top match is with Sereena Deeb. This is the top 10 in case you're interested:

4. Emi Sakura, Maki Itoh & VENY vs Hikaru Shida, Mei Suruga & Rin Kadokura
5. Emi Sakura vs Jamie Hayter
6. Hikaru Shida vs Nyla Rose
7. Emi Sakura vs VENY
8. Hikaru Shida vs Ryo Mizunami
9. Hikaru Shida vs Tay Conti
10. Mercedes Moné vs Willow Nightingale

Does anybody in AEW defend their titles anymore? Why is Toni Storm having a non title match with Mina Shirakawa at Forbidden Door? Maybe I missed something, but everyone is reporting that they are having a "match", not a "title match". How is Toni Storm a baby face again? Because people seem to want to cheer for this idiot.

https://www.f4wonline.com/news/aew/toni ... dden-door/

Why the fuck is Tony Kahn still appearing on TV?

https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/ ... n_alvarez/

Sigh. This is AEW. They have a good week with a decent pay per view and a strong Dynamite, and then they're back to doing dumb shit again.

Moving on from AEW, I love when WWE's own talents point out the company's crap booking. LA Knight SHOULD have won a title by now, and him getting Logan Paul's title is too little and too late

Yeah, I was confused by the TK segment

There's rumours that Andrade is already annoyed with his own booking (again lol) in WWE.

Maybe it's time for Andrade to just accept the fact that he's a mid card act and that's his ceiling...no matter where he goes. There...I said it

EDIT: It's like he got involved with the Flair family and because of that he starting thinking he's a big deal...he's not.
