Yeah, you are right, you do get full health at Malth, I guess he just took my health down pretty quickly the first time I fought him, so I thought I must have gone in weakened  So mean that they refill your health for Malth, but not for the last bosses.

Yeah, 6-2 is the teal/green section. I always get stuck at the one jump with that small platfrm that has an enemy (and tons of birds). So, I need to find the jump/slash, thats a good start. I would usually avoid that weapon, as I could never find a way to hit any lamps once I had that powerup. Is there a way to jump and attack without using the slash, once you have it?

If you hold down whilst attacking in midair, you'll do a regular slash.

also, for the enemy on the platform witht he birds, if you scroll the screen just right, you can glitch him off the edge of screen and he wont come back. The you at least only have to deal with the birds.

Also, the spinning jump slash move is what I used to beat the game eventually. 2 hits takes down each of the final bosses forms, making it fairly easy to take them out.

Damn, that changes everything. I think its time to try to take this game down again.

Oh, and for what it's worth, everytime there is a cut scene at the final boss, you get full health again. That means the first time you face form 2 and form 3, you'll be maxed out.
If you lose to them though, you'll have to fight them with however much health you turn up with when you come up to them again.
Each time you kill a form though, it robs you of all your magic points, so I actually had to come back round twice with the spin jump and magic again. I found the 2nd form of the final boss to be the hardest by far.

Awesome! Pretty damn impressed with Dead Space 3 myself. For starters, I never once went into Dead Space expecting horror. This is not Fatal Frame nor is it nearly as complex as something like System Shock 2 (DS1 supposedly started off as some kind of remake, believable considering some of the similarities). So for DS3 to get a bit more actiony at times... I didn't really care.

I was one that wasn't too into the second game. They really overblew it with Isaac's character, brought no new enemy types to the table (that I remember), and the environments weren't great. DS3 takes the best of both the first two games and got it right. New stuff, awesome environments, optional missions, and the campaign was definitely a good length. Isaac was a lot cooler too. He did get a little Superman on us, but he already was that in the first game... so again, not an issue for me. The music actually stood out in this one and the crafting system was really cool.

The game engine was very impressive and usually I cant' stand in-game QTE's/cutscenes in the Uncharted style or whatnot, but somehow DS3 got it right for me... it never felt like the game really took control away from me. Keeping you in control of most of these insane triggered sequences, they were pretty awesome.

Overall, definitely one that'll be in my top 5 for the year probably. Enjoyed the heck out of it and it was a nice surprise after being a little lukewarm over DS2.

AlienJesus knows his Ninja Gaiden.

Once you get a bit more familiar with the game you'll find yourself almost always pressing down and slash when jumping. That and you'll know what powerups each "lamp" contains.

Take another stab at it.

I only beat it for the first time myself a year or two back, and I played through Act 6 enough times to get it down pat

Well, it took me quite a bit of trial and error tonight, but I managed to finish off Uncharted. The credits are rolling in the background as I type.

All in all, not too bad once I realized what I was getting myself into. Shooters of any fashion aren't really my forte, so I've got a nice feeling of accomplishment having finished it. Don't think I'll go directly on to the sequel though, even if it's considered better. I'm tired of shooters for the time being
