Nice one nintendo. Cause what the Wii was lacking in, were minigame collections.

Resident Evil Revelations was surprisingly good. Other than that... nope.
I didn't think horror is dead. Its certainly not at the standard it once was but there have been some pretty solid horror games this gen like cursed mountain, dead space, silent hill downpour, condemned, siren blood curse, shadows of the damned and hopefully resident evil 6 will be a pleasent surprise.. Im optimistic about resi 6.

So the horror aspects still seem to be there? from what I saw it looked more like gears of war then dead space.
I depends what you mean by "horror aspects". Slow moving character with limited ammo fighting zombies and monsters in the dark? Yes.
Yeah thats pretty much what I meant and I just read that If you choose to play in single player then there won't be any AI following you around, thank god.

Hmm there seems to be a bit of arguing on what was originally intended in the interview and what is actually in the game.

If the scene is there and they have time to change it I'm betting they are.

Everything I've seen on the new Tomb Raider is complaints that its making Lara too weak, or glorifying it for making her more human. There's no middle ground. I personally like the fact that she comes off more human. I'm also finding it odd that many are comparing it to humiliation and fake torture styles of porn, which is not what I ever would have thought of upon seeing this.

What happened to the good old days when the explanation for everything could be blanketed by saying, "Its a videogame!"

Well people said the same thing about Other M so I'm not surprised. I like the more human approach and everyone has to start some where.

You're forgetting Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which is a PC exclusive that I consider to be the scariest game of all time.

Also, the upcoming Among The Sleep where you play a toddler in a scary house looks phenomenal.

Modern games according to purported research can dumb down people.. we had our Sonics and Marios, kids nowadays have Niko Bellics and Marcus Fenixes.

Gaming wants to be called an art form, yet do something outside the norm and you get blasted.

Gaming press, please grow up and stop being pretentious and tabloid quality at the same time.
