I want to try Harvester. I've watched some clips of it online. It looks like my kind of game because I love cheesy FMV horror. Is it easy to play on a modern machine, or would it require dosbox? I'm kind of hoping that it will just show up on gog one day.

Just finished Story mode of Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions for NDS. Best handheld Spider-Man game I ever played. In fact, the only decent handheld Spider-Man game I ever played.

I use DosBox, though I've encountered some touchy audio, though that may just be my computer. And I DL'ed my copy from Underground Gamer.

Don't bother with Amazon, cuz a used copy can go for as little as $15 and a new copy goes as high as almost $90!

Personally, I wanna see it remade, mostly cuz I heard that the creator wanted to do more but couldn't. Also, I see the main character Steve being played by Christian Campbell (he was in last week's SVU), who is almost a dead ringer.

Interesting sidenote: Campbell's wife, America Olivo, was in Bitch Slap and the Friday the 13th reboot and is currently the understudy for the character of Arachne in the new Spider-Man musical. She was also in Soluna. And I've gone off-topic.

Oh, and Jeffrey Combs as the mortician.

Tonight I just beat Yakuza 3 for the 2nd time. The first time around I played through Ryu ga Gotoku 3 back in summer of 2009.

It was kind of annoying that the subtitles didn't match what they were actually saying in a lot of the cutscenes. They weren't mistakes, it was censorship. Sega was just being sensitive to the audience since the 'censored' parts were putting down foreigners or they were saying things they assumed non-Japanese wouldn't understand. Sega thinks we're stupid. My fiance was totally into it tho because she loves Yakuza movies. She sat through most of the cutscenes with me, which made it sort of fun.

Resident Evil Outbreak - Beaten, though only on easy mode. It was my first "classic" RE, since the only one I've played before was RE4. I really like its replayability potential - 4 levels of difficulty, 8 characters, tons of unlockables and stats, and it doesn't get old for me (despite only 5 scenarios) since I enjoy this style of gameplay, shared by Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

Kinda the same thing with RE:O, many times the subtitles used completely different words of what characters said, sometimes even omiting parts of the dialogue, for some reason it was more frequent in the early levels.

2/18 SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium (NGPC)

Okay, this was a surprise. This game actually stands toe to toe with the arcade variations of the SvC series. The moves are actually well adapted to the NGPC and each character has a much more involved storyline than any of this games big brothers. This will be my go to game for awhile.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

2/18: Tiki Totems 2: Valentine iPod Touch NEW

Total: 18

I've been working at clearing all of the Classic and Premium levels of Tiki Totems for a long while. It's a pretty neat game, where you have to clear blocks until the number is down to zero, without letting your Tiki Statue touch the ground or go offscreen. The physics are very sound, making this an enjoyable gaming experience.

Right after, I cleared both sets from Tiki Totems 2: Valentine, which was free when I got it (dunno if it is now). It's a little different in that even though it's the same with "you can't touch the ground or go offscreen", you control two statues and have to have them touch each other. Again, very good physics and well worth the download.

Cute, but it's still not Mega Man X7!

I kid, I kid. If it makes you feel any better, it's also sitting unbeaten in my collection. I picked it up for $5 at a Gamestop a couple of years ago thinking "Oh boy, a cheap Mega Man X game!" After playing it I felt ripped off. Some day I'll beat it...but not now.

It has picked up a little now that I have unlocked X as a playable character. It is still so freaking arbitrary and irksome.

Trax for Gameboy
Super Mario RPG for SNES
Ikaruga for Gamecube
Mercs for PSP *new* Short but sweet. I bought Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded for PSP and beat this during the commercials while my wife and I were watching TV. I love these types of games and this one didn't disappoint, still not as good as Shock Troopers though.

Total for 2011: 4
