A no-kills run of Twin Snakes is still easier than a no-kills run of the original. Sure, that's mostly because it's kinda not possible to do a no-kills run of the original, but still.

that's really cool. Thanks. Something I'd look into in the future only if I started finding enough 5.25" stuff to make it worth my while.

Oh yeah, I own that one. The little added bonuses are great, but the fps view makes the game a lot less difficult.

I'm playing the Playstation version on the Dreamcast, thanks to my bleamcast disc. Cruising through the game so far, and I'm fairly close to the end if my memory serves. I was going for a no kill run, but that is not happening this round.

Be careful. The super cheap-o USB floppy drives are unreliable. I would first check and see if your motherboard can support a true internal drive. If that's not an option do some research and get a decent USB drive from NewEgg or something. Stay far away from the random generic $6 drives from Amazon.

As for for 5.25" disks... I can think of very few DOS games that were released exclusively in that format. Most had 3.5" re-releases or co-releases (and lots of times 3.5" and 5.25" disks were packaged together). And if you want to run, say, old C64 games from 5.25" disks it's probably easier to just get a actual C64. Though I suppose one of these drives would be awesome for back-up purposes.

the one I had put on my xmas list was a name brand $20 one w/ good customer reviews. I can't remember which it was now. If the USB one works out fine, I wouldn't bother throwing one in my PC.

Yeah I can't really think of any games that would urge me to need a 5.25" drive either. Was more so a "wow, I wonder if such a thing exists" question haha.
