Yup. I got that GB port that plugs into a Super Game Boy and makes it a SNES game that is arcade perfect. Of course this was before Taito Legends, and Return of The Invaders and Super Space Invaders 91

Old DOS action games + Logitech gamepad + Joy2Key = AMAZING. Why didn't I think to do this sooner?
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I have a Gravis USB pad coming my way. Hopin' this'll add to the old school feel.

Ooohhhh I have an old ass Gravis somewhere.
I've spent the last hour trying to get the Win 95/98 versions of Sonic CD, 3D Blast, and Sonic & Knuckles to work on my Win 7 PC. Utter failure. Thankfully I have a Win 98 PC in the closet here.

Those early Wintel year games can be such a pain in the ass to get working properly. DOS is so easy, but its like impossible to get some Windows 95 games working correctly.
Take Layer Section for instance. Runs far too fast on pretty much everything, even a lot of normal computers of the time that are at the right spec. On my Thinkpad 385D, it runs at the normal arcade speed.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
There's a patch for Sonic CD to run on Windows XP. I don't know if it works for 7, though. Really should give it a try.

I tried that patch. Game boots, but crashes at level one.
I'll just try an older computer.

Some games even take your pad as a joystick. I've found that to be useful too.
As for Sonic CD, I've got that from the Sega Mega Pack that claims to work for XP, but never got it to work right. The original copy I had for my Win 95 PC worked amazingly well. Good thing I have Sonic Gems Collection now

That older computer is called a Sega CD. Works every time.
