yeah I agree. It was actually close to being a good game but then they dropped the ball in some pretty major ways and ultimately killed off the player base at launch which is not how you want to start a multiplayer game off.

My biggest problem with the game (since I don't really do much multiplayer) was that the difficulty curve is BRUTAL for the campaign. It's like, the first couple missions are fine, the next one or two is a challenge but fair, and then it's like "TRAINING WHEELS OFF, HERE'S 100 FOLKS INFECTED WITH LAS PLAGAS, HAVE FUN ON YOUR OWN GETTING GANKED."

My review for Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps has been published if anyone's interested.

pretty spot-on, Elkin. I also had the added issues of dealing with poor mouse/keyboard implementation since I was playing on PC. Apparently m/kb was an afterthought on this one. And it was unplayable. I haven't checked since launch if this has been fixed. I also thought it was odd that such a game wouldn't have been in first person. RE7 has proven that the RE formula can work brilliantly in first person.

Speaking of, can we talk about Chris Redfield now since that's all out in the open with DLC? My theory is that this guy is Claire's husband who has the same name... because otherwise, I have no idea how that's Chris! New voice too even. But I did see some people post a side by side comparison, that he looks very similar to his original skinny appearance in REmake.

I've heard nothing but good things about the DLC for RE7. I'll grab the Steam Ultimate release someday for a replay. Not sure if I ever mentioned it, but I just borrowed RE7 PS4 from my friend. The only thing I'll miss living with a roommate is access to his library.

I still don't know if RE7 left a huge splash on me, still feels like I can stick with that strong 7.7/10 for now... but yeah, I'm already excited to replay it again someday down the road.

I downloaded the RE7 DLC last night, but I haven't played it yet. I'm planning to do that hopefully once I finish the first Fire Emblem. Though the Switch is definitely going to take priority.

I haven't even finished 7 yet. I'm stuck at a part that is stressing me out haha. Y'know when you're at the dinner table, and then you sneak around to try to get a key to the trap door in the floor? The part when Jack runs thru the wall and all that? I don't know what it is, but I can't get to the trap door without him catching me.

yeah, I'm early into it. Like 2 hrs I think? In general I've been really busy in January and February and haven't had as much time for games as I normally do anyway.

(I'd also disclose that while I love the RE series, I always tend to play through the games very slowly as I'm a huge chicken baby).

So is RE7 a new thing or part of the old RE plot?
