Hey now, sometimes hilarity ensues, like the 3 minute run through of the SNES game Vegas Stakes, where they make $1million in about 30 seconds.

That said, outside of blazing through bosses, I don't really think there would be much point to speed running Metal Slug.

In regards to the Mini Marquees, I have the capability to make ones at my work that are pretty good. They are not spot on to original, but they are on backlit film, and when are in the cab, you can never tell. I would be willing to hook up any racketeers if they needed any.

Here are some ones I printed for my personal cab (the backlight in my cab is not functioning at the moment):

You can see the light comes through just fine:

In the cab, nobody would ever be able to tell the difference once they are in and behind the plexi:

The retail pricing of this stuff is $15 per square foot, so in theory you could get like 6 for $15, but I could hook it up even better than that. Feel free to message me if anyone is interested.

That's neat!

So what is the value of repaired MVS carts?

I got a free Prehistoric Isle 2 that I had to have repaired with a board out of a KOF 99 and a new P1 ROM I guess. I have not looked at the board after the repair, been too busy playing it :D . It was legit to start with though.

Do different repairs affect the value differently?

Is the P1 chip the same, meaning, placed on the normal board loaction and the same type of rom and otherwise indistinguishable? (I would assume so). If pulled from a legit KoF, then it's all still official SNK. Id suggest noting it if you ever sold it, but if it's just a chip swap and not jumper or flash rom repairs, I dont' think it'd affect value at all. Should be a $150-ish cart.

The P1 is a flash Rom, everything else looks fine. The KOF was needed for the CMC

To the casual Neo collector, the value will stay the same, but many of the hardcores wont touch it. Remember, some collectors dont buy carts with reproduction labels.
