Is it just me or does it seem like you want the 3DS to fail?

It's just you. I was ready to buy one. But I got my head out of my ass and saw just how little sense it made to buy one right now. There's Shadow Wars and......that. Unless you count 2 remakes we've played of infinite systems before. Or the abysmal battery life (for a Nintendo handheld at least)

Considering we're still waiting for more killer apps, I think the increase in sales is impressive. That's almost four systems sold for every system they were selling before. At the very least, it's not a bad sign.

True. But the 99€ price tag did little to change the fate of the Gamecube. It gave it a small sale boost, but after a few weeks the PS2 was still outselling it (and the xbox too in America).

As I said I was ready to buy one. I had even deposited the money in my debit card to order it online. But the lack of games just stopped me from taking the plunge.

I'm confident that the games are coming. That's what will really sell the system. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo announces on Tuesday.

Is there anyway to see how the 3ds launch did compared to the DS launch?

Going off of VG Chartz, the 3DS has sold 4,595,659 since its launch in February/March. For the same 7 month period since launch the DS sold 5,509,609 units.

I bought Star Fox 3D today, its pretty good. Like OoT, its much improved, and an example of 3D done correctly on the 3DS.
