Gamers HQ opened a new location in Gainesville in April:

2108 SW 34th Street
Gainesville FL, 32607

I haven't been in there myself yet, but I've seen their pictures. Looks like they've done up the store quite nice.

That's cool; the last time I was in Gainesville, I found absolutely nothing in the way of independent game stores, so it's good to see one open up!

Game Swap
2294 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH
(937) 293-8000

Been there many times. They have a lot of retro games and movies. Everything from Atari 2600 to PS3.

How does the rating system work? I see a few +1 and -1 ratings here and there.

Anyways I'll see about adding some local stores on the list soon.

You basically say +1 or -1 to a game store you've been to and it gets updated.

Oh okay. Well then I vouch for the Video Game Dungeon store in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. Nice place, pretty good selection, a little bit subpar on dreamcast games but they had a bunch of CIB SNES games and an overall good selection. Kinda hard to find though

This is a sad update...All but one of the Charlotte, North Carolina Play 'N Trade locations are closed; so, you can remove:

Play N' Trade [Center Lake Drive]:
9330 Center Lake Dr. #140
Charlotte, NC 28216-0762
(704) 921-2722

Play N' Trade [East WT Harris Boulevard]: +1 Rating
230 E. WT Harris Blvd. Suite A-5
Charlotte, NC 28262
(704) 549-1112

Play N' Trade [Rea Road]:
9816 Rea Rd. #A
Charlotte, NC 28277-6698
(704) 749-1540

That said, Gamer's Alley in Cramerton, North Carolina is a very solid store, and I would like to give it a +1 rating.

Man that sucks. I hate when that happens. Two stores in my area closed down too, but luckily they've been bought out/under new management now.

I guess I should list a store now, this is one I've been to recently:

Gorilla Games
12230 San Jose Blvd.
Suite 1
Jacksonville, FL, 32223
(904)-262-9944
Notes: Re-opened under new management. A lot more merchandise now as well and even has an area for parties. Nice workers.

^I would give that a 1+ rating but idk if I can.

I have two to add for Maryland

GameBox
3289 Donnell Dr, #B,
District Heights, MD 20747
(301) 735-2888
Notes: They are a hit/miss sometimes. While you can find some good deals they don't have a huge selection that is displayed (due to the fact the store is so small) and you have to ask to look at the boxes in the back to really find what they have.

Pandora's Cube- College Park (Campus Village Shopping Center)
8145-L Baltimore Avenue
College Park, MD 20740
301-474-9711
Website: http://pandorascube.com/
Note: A few years ago I would not even put them on a list but they have gotten a lot better after the old managers were sent to jail for pirating and cleaned up their act. While they do sell really expensive stuff, you can sometimes find some good cheap retro games and they do repair work on older game systems (though up to a point of course).
