For me it had to be Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat I used to play them back in the day,I sucked at them,I was 8 years old.I couldn't figure out the special move either at the time except for MK the moves were super easy. For 3d,it was Virtua Fighter 2 that game's graphics blew me away at the time,I was tired of the cheap fireball moves of SF games at the time. Then awhile later I started to play 2D fighters again after playing X-Men: Cota and then Primal Rage.I started to play Tekken and than got hooked on Marvel vs. Capcom games. Was it just me or does anyone else bounce in between 3D & 2D fighters like me?

My local skating rink had an X-Men: Children of the Atom machine. I pumped at least $10 in quarters everytime I would go there. It was the game that really got me started, even though I had(and still do) a copy of SF2 Turbo on snes.

I watched a lot of COTA in the arcades but I never played. I had enough trouble with Street Fighter II. The extra flash and flair of COTA scared me off until I got it on my Saturn.

Yeah, I was a little turned off from it at first, mostly playing the Tekken 2 machine, but once I started, I couldn't stop.

i went to a summer camp when i was 8 years old and they had a street fighter 2 arcade came with unlimited play enabled. I spent sooooooo much time playing it. I want to own a full arcade of it because of the good memories!
