I remember going to "Video Galaxy" with my mum and brother on Friday night and picking out 2 movies. Then running home and one of use would run up and stick in the cassette all kachunk and stand by the TV while we fastforward through the gay previews because Tobin smashed the controller in some grand toy train pile up escapade last year, but allowing the good ones to play. Then finally mum needs to pee, so we pause it at the lion growling and my brother and I make lewd jokes about the lion eating this or barfing up that. And then we watch the movie and half way through the tracking goes all wonky, so mum smashes the tv a few times, shakes the VCR, calls up the movie shop and bitches them out and they say we can have 2 free movie rentals for our inconvenience. Then finally I dig into the VCR and find out it was just a crayon Ian stuck in their yesterday to "fix" the VCR. So I yank the crayon out and find the tape has spat all it's guts out, so with my pointer finger I crank the thing all back in and then fastforward for 80 bajillion years to get back to where we were and continue watching.

You just don't get all that adventure and fun out of a DVD.
