Entry Level Genesis Games for a Sega Noob

Re: Astal, I can't really enjoy this game. It seems a bit too easy. I'm playing the Japanese version, I wonder if that's the reason for it?

I've only messed around with it some. great looking game but i hate the controls, moves sluggish to me and just seems to have that sega "gimmick" they liked to throw in a bunch of their games to try and make them stand out. really nothing to this game that stands out to me but bright colors.

Yeah, there's definitely nothing about the gameplay in Astal that sucks me in. If it wasn't for the art direction, would this game ever get mentioned?
