Those people are ignorant of history. Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei both debuted on Nintendo consoles. If anything the franchise is returning to its roots.

I didn't even know that! :O I wish I had known and I would have shoved that in front of the guy moaning "it's a Playstation franchise, it should be on PS4. Clearly people defending this didn't play the games on PS2".

Worth keeping in mind that all three of the SMT games for the Super Famicom were eventually ported to the PS1. Not saying that the series belongs on any particular hardware--not that it's even in continuation at this point, anyway--just leaving that out there.

I sort of wonder what went into the decision to make Devil Summoner a Saturn exclusive (until the PSP release). For all intents and purposes, Atlus was throwing the weight of MegaTen behind the Saturn at that point. Also "graced" the Saturn with an exclusive continuation of the spinoff series that no one actually likes (Majin Tensei).

Stranger still, that game apparently has very little relation to the rest of the Last Bible games, in terms of its content.
A lot of the sub series just seem like Atlus playing it fast a loose with the IP.

Dude, no. First you approach it in a friendly manner, then when it mocks you, you smile. When it asks you if you're only after its money, you say, "no." When it laughs at you for being a stupid human, you throw shiny, precious, gems at it until it follows you for the rest of its days. Then you win the game. --Either that, or mix it with some other things to make even more hideous, and grotesque monsters, with more delectable stats and magic.

Isn't that LAST BIBLE game just the Gameboy title redone for GG? We got that first one in the US under the name Revelations the Demon Slayer (I own it then and again now and it's fantastic.) There was a sequel, fan translated though and you can find it places online put to a real cart.

Nope. The Game Gear MegaTen game is unique and exclusive to Game Gear. It even has first person dungeons.
