Today's modern woman no longer responds to being clubbed on the head and dragged off.
How do you know this?

Rather, many prefer going to the club and then taking some drags to mellow out afterward. Overall it is much less violent and enjoyable for all, but on the downside there's dancing involved.
And that is why booze were invented.

And that's the only important part that matters. Don't worry about how you look. Social skills and charisma are more important anyway, and they are useful for more than just getting a date.

I occasionally get free lunches in the cafeteria or extra food. I always get better service in restaurants or at the bank. Co-workers are quicker to listen to my opinions. I've made lots of friends. I can easily work the crowd at a party and get to know people, which leads to interesting connections in different areas. I've picked up more internal clients than the rest of my department combined.

None of this is necessary, but they are some nice perks from being charismatic.

Even if you manage to do well in the rest of your life without it, it's obvious you want to date and have a relationship and that kind of stuff so it's a good thing to pick up, isn't it?

Charisma is inherent to the natural ability of a person, it can't be learned. Have RPG's taught you nothing?

And its not like I'm going into a field where I need to find clients. In fact, I will likely never see the person I'm selling to. Even if I did, it wouldn't matter, because I'm in a field where there is a market no matter what, and if that fails, I can feed myself.

And if I can manage the rest of my life, then why do I need a relationship? Want is not the same as need, and I don't need anyone in my life.

RPGs taught me that I can boost my charisma every four levels, and it's necessary both for social skills and Intimidation roles.

And you'll still have clients and other farmers and farmer organizations and government employees and the bank to deal with. Unless you go full Jeremiah Johnson, you'll have to deal with someone at some point. You might as well learn to charm the socks off them.

Other farmers? Nope, ranching is generally solitary when it comes to dealing with others unless animals cross fences, and I have my own rules about that I will inform people of. Organizations? I have no need for them, and wouldn't join. Government employees? At most I would deal with them when getting my exemption, and all the charm in the world makes no difference there. The bank? Only to make deposits and withdrawals. I ranch, I do not farm. I have little need for loans and the like, and plan to never take a loan if I do not need it, which I likely won't, because I don't spend money unless I have to.

And you might be able to boost charisma every four levels, but why not just boost combat skills to force your will?

I suppose you'll never go to a grocery store either. Or a doctor's office. And your dealings with the EPA will surely be magical.

Good luck in life, Forlorn. It seems you've got everything figured out.

Yeah, I guess you don't really need to be happy, either.
