Re: Capcom Won't Make a Sequel For Less than 2M Sales
Come on now, Capcom may have abandoned Megaman but they did not ruin it. After Megaman ZX (which I am not aware that it is a bad game), they made Megaman 9, which is one of the best Megamans, and then they made Megaman 10 a year or two after.
Resident Evil 6 is really the only recent game that I thought was a slap in the face. I guess there are people who are pissed that Breath of Fire is a mobile game, but that just seems like sour grapes to me (I have no idea if the game is bad or not, never bothered to check it out).
Nintendo has some questionable decisions about some of their franchises. Kid Icarus Rising has bad controls, they outsourced Metroid and made Other M which was as unMetroid like as RE6 was unResident Evil like. People have been wanting an authentic Starfox experience since the 90s. Before Fire Emblem Awakening, the latest games were pretty meh and tried to make Fire Emblem battles into these super long epic fights, when people really wanted more games like FE 7.

I don't think anyone would call the Inti Creates games bad (Mega Man Zero, ZX, 9-10) and they're also heavily involved in Mighty No. 9.Violent By Design wrote:Come on now, Capcom may have abandoned Megaman but they did not ruin it. The argument that they ruined Mega Man would come from the cancellations and the fact that like Breath of Fire he was demoted to iOS game status.

I forgot about that new BOF game. If that game came stateside and was in one of those screwball sales taking it down to $5 or under I'd try it as I'm curious. My only exposure to the franchise was the original and the battle engine was terrible but I liked the story the few hours I could put up with it.

I'm sorry but I really just didn't like the ZX series. Same for the 6th, 7th and 8th entry in the X series.Gunstar Green wrote: I don't think anyone would call the Inti Creates games bad (Mega Man Zero, ZX, 9-10) and they're also heavily involved in Mighty No. 9.

Other than that I will completely agree with the rest of your post

With this thinking Resident Evil 4 would have never existed! Zero didn't sell 2 million. Hey, that would have been a good thing. Capcom became irrelevant to me after RE4.
Only game I have enjoyed from them the last decade is Deadly Silence, a port of RE1.

They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe, yet.

And? I'll give you Haunting Ground, that was 2005. So, there's that.Cronozilla wrote:10 years, really?

Sheesh, you thought all those games were bad? Or did you just not want to try a lot of them?jvalentine98 wrote:And? I'll give you Haunting Ground, that was 2005. So, there's that.Cronozilla wrote:10 years, really?

None of those are games you would consider notable? Do you ONLY play horror games or something?jvalentine98 wrote:And? I'll give you Haunting Ground, that was 2005. So, there's that.Cronozilla wrote:10 years, really?

Nope I'm a big fan of Shadowrun for Genesis, own several Sonic and Mario games for DS, some old school GBA FF games, stuff like that.lisalover1 wrote:None of those are games you would consider notable? My favorite games are SIMILAR to Resident Evil, though. I don't have a lot of gaming time, usually, so I'm going to spend it with ones I enjoy. Not spending 100 hours on some RPG I may or may not like.
Deja Vu, Uninvited, Alone in the Dark, Clock Tower those are all favs of mine. Haunting Ground is a spiritual successor to Clock Tower. And a damned expensive one, too, if you want it now.
