Just throwing some numbers out. Jack & Jill cost $79 Million and made $149 Million worldwide
Grown Ups 2 cost $80 Million and made $213 Million
Zookeeper (not an Adam Sandler Film, but a Happy Madison Production) Cost $80 Million and made $169 Million.
His company makes money. I think That's My Boy and Funny People were the only ones that recently barely broke even.

Well, considering Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen are the Adam Sandlers of today, this phase will last seventy plus years and continue on.KDub wrote: Yeah I call it a phase and I stick by it.

I define stardom as "quality+fame" . You do not have to be rich for me to consider you a star. There are others out there that has the combination of "Fame+Money" but I do not consider them stars really. Snooki is rich and famous, I do not consider her a star. Kim Kardashian is rich and famous I do not consider her a star. Paris Hilton is rich and famous, I do not consider her a star. I do not consider Nicole Richie a star even if she is famous and rich.

I liked The Truman Show. At the time it was very new of an idea and it got people thinking. I have seen many of those critically praised films for idea provoking, but I get bored and feel sick in my stomach. They are no where entertaining. At least the Truman show was entertaining and unique enough to be remembered. Its iconic to me of that era , I can be wrong but 24hr monitoring shows like Big Brother were just picking up and reality TV was all the rage with Survivor .

Again, I am not exactly discussing Ben Affleck's career I was just trying to give example. Maybe it was not exactly correct yet I still feel like he was a bigger star back then . I am not sure why Jamie Foxx career didn't pick up and I didn't get why if you did mention it. As for Joaquin Phoenix, I have not been following that guy and not sure which movie you are referring to , but he was never a star really. He is more like a 1 hit wonder with Gladiator .

I agree to your opinion about Adam Sandler even though I like the guy.
