So...You are rooting for things to suck? That's odd.

And you may be right that EA might chuck out sucky Star Wars games, but it's not like I'm in EA's corner; I want some decent Star Wars games is all. If Disney thinks EA is the best way to go, I'm going to trust them.

This is like saying two years ago: "Disney buys Marvel? *facepalm* wtf? Out of all the studios available, we're going to get an Avengers movie from Disney? What? Disney sucks at making live action movies, this won't turn out well."

Yes, a bit of an exaggeration, but that basically sums up how some of these posts read.

I think you're misreading me, I'm not rooting for the games to suck at all, I'm assuming based on EA's history they will suck. EA's more than welcome to prove me wrong but it's going to be one hell of an uphill battle and I won't be cheering for them along the way.

EA has had plenty of very good games/series in the past generation. Dead Space, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Need for Speed, Battlefield, etc. Their sports titles are still fairly solid as well, with NHL and Madden continuing to be well refined games year in/year out. There's no reason to suspect that because they've had a few high profile IPs flop or hit trouble spots (Medal of Honor, Sim City, etc.) that they will publish shitty Star Wars games. They clearly have a lot of excellent talent and their track record of late (and historically) has far more good than bad.

"Dead Space, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Need for Speed, Battlefield, etc."

Those games are bad and you should feel bad.

Come on Star Wars racing game that is not Podracing or Super Bombad. Swoop bike racing would be awesome.

Aslong as Disney does not pull the rights to the boardgames from Fantasy Flight I will be fine. Still too much left unreleased in the X-wing Minis game.

As long as it controls better than Shadows of the Empire. That was probably the weakest point of the game in my opinion.

DA Origins is an awesome game. I know ME isn't for everyone, but I loved it. Battlefield is also a quslity FPS for those who enjoy shooters. I also thought Dead Space 1 is a good game.

They are a big company, so they do strive for sales and mass appeal. We gotta go elsewhere for the niche titles.

While I haven't agreed with or liked everything they have done, I wouldn't expect a Star Wars game from them to be automatically bad by any stretch.

The acting in Rebel Assault II has kept me laughing for nearly decades. So count me in for "Yay!".
