We can do top 5 or something, this is a good chance to hammer out a forum wide accepted format for high scores. I have no problems changing it up to what people want to see.

I've grown to prefer the DS version over its predecessors, with the introduction of swapping a blocks, holding it 'til it's most opportune, and the fact that you can still flip the tetrinos before it locks, unlike the old version, where as soon as it came into contact with the pile, the move was done. All in all, gives it a bit more flexibility to scoring potential.

I feel that the versions that allow holding and the pieces to be moved before they lock to be quite a bit easier, and dont offer the same challenge. I had a hard time getting used to the NES and GB versions because I was used to the DS version (I never used the hold though) but now that I have played a bit of them I like the "old" way better. I will update with your score later, I am at work typing as fast as I can lol.

My vote's for unlimited, so long as it's one score per person. If that gets too unwieldy, maybe a cap can then be placed.

Just my 2c.

Got a slight increase on my score tonight, I got to level 14 and things were dropping pretty fast at that point and made one mistake that caused me to loose it all.

I cracked out Tetris DX just for you, and third time was the charm.

awesome scores guys! Updating now. I picked up DX today for 2.99 at a local used game/record store and just put in a few rounds. It is way smoother than the original version, but I feel that it is REALLY stingy with the line pieces, multiple games I had perfect stacks up, just waiting for that line piece, and before I knew it I was fighting for survival at the top of the screen! Also, like mentioned the music stinks compared to the original. For some reason it kept changing over and over, I wasnt even near the top and it would just change. I need to work on my score a little better to post up, couldnt even break 100,000.

Edit:

New personal best in lines and score! I should have had a better score, but I kept missing Tetris's and doing a lot of single lines. I will most likely stick with the original GB or NES version since the pieces "stick" and I want to get used to that. I noticed on the DX version you had a chance to either rotate once they hit, or even move the piece a little.
