Zelda, Mario, Mega Man, Donkey Kong, Sonic, Metal Gear, Pokemon, Donpachi, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Tetris, and Ballz 3D are all really stupid.

It's OK that the games are stupid, it just means that they're the perfect product for a very large demographic of people.

I dunno, I think Mario and Pac-Man are more surreal than outright stupid...

Ok then. I'm not a religious person so admittedly I'm not talking from the experience of having tried them but it seems like most (all?) attempts to make games from bible stories and teachings are failures. How does a crappy NES platformer help spread the word? Multiple choice quizzes are supposed to be fun? Bible games obviously tend to play down the violence since that's one thing religious groups always complain about in games. So Super Noah's Ark had you using a slingshot on animals to feed them and make them fall asleep? Huh? Wasn't there that rapture game based on a book that was still a FPS or something?
Seems like if you're going to make bible games, they should be adventure games or something. You'd already have the main story, just need to flesh them out with branches.
Note I am not trying to start a religious argument or derail the thread.
Oh right, dammit.AppleQueso wrote:How about an actual answer instead of another "crap on a popular franchise" post?
