Yeah, I noticed that was the case. It actually fit really well with the way I was playing. There was one part in the second mission where the path forks, and there are two auto turrets guarding each path that you need to get around. I go one way and clear my path just in time to meet up with my AI companions who just finished their side. It made the whole experience feel really nice, like I was actually in a small squad, instead of baby sitting NPCs like you usually do.BogusMeatFactory wrote:It is because you actually played the game the way they wanted you to. Much like with the Call of Duty games, if you don't do anything, you can actually have your AI teammates clear the area in most levels and not fire a shot or in the case of this Aliens game, just run through everything.MrPopo wrote:Because I didn't find the AI to be terrible.

I actually feel the exact same way you do - the more you play the game, the more it grows on you. Might seem like common sense, but after about the third mission, I started to like the game a lot more than I did during the first one.MrPopo wrote:Yeah, I noticed that was the case. What does "doing everything horizontally" mean in that case? The companies were sleeping together?Pulsar_t wrote:http://www.destructoid.com/timegate-exe ... 4977.phtml

I really want to play this game, but after reading the reviews, hearing about the outsourcing and watching this hilarious gif - I think I'll just wait for the bargain bin.

I'm hoping Gearbox owns up here and releases substantial updates bringing the game up to the demo quality they were aiming for. If the only reason why they shipped when they did was threat of a lawsuit from Sega, then they really should fix this otherwise they're going to create great distrust from fans if every other game they release is viewed by a large chunk of the audience as a broken mess.
