I used a lot of choice curse-words at 5-3, but the game gets worse...much worse. I can deal with the bullshit of actually getting to the boss, but having to restart and play the three hardest levels over and over again until you beat him? Unacceptable and outrageous.

As far as cheap deaths are concerned, this always makes me laugh.

Haha, there's another kind? I'm sorry, but the game seems like it was never meant to be beaten except by those "special" people who enjoy being tortured. That being said, I might give NG II a try after my rage has worn off...

they are cheap for a while untill you get the the hang of them or get the pattern

I've played FAR worse games than NES Ninja Gaiden in terms of difficulty. Hell, Itagaki's NG II reaches higher levels of frustration
