That's the thing, Vyvyan is my favorite character. Ah well, perhaps I'll give it another shot some time.

Though I've seen the Bottom Live bloopers and that was pretty funny.
It's definitely worth a shot. Even though I keep saying how it's rude and violent, there's a lot of funny situational comedy and witty jokes that might fly over your head. I don't want to give out spoilers or anything, but the funny thing about that series is how two low life bums get into all kinds of crazy and weird predicaments because they come up with "brilliant" plans. The plotlines revolve around Mayall's zany character Richie most of the time anyways.

This is sort of unrelated but Black Adder (seasons 2 and 4) is another great (historical!) sitcom from that era. It's funny to see Rowan Atkinson (most people see him as Mr Bean) playing a really snarky character.

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Off the top of my head

Black Dynamite
Evil Dead 2 (It's equal parts horror and comedy)
Hot Fuzz (I have to have a Simon Peg/Nick Frost movie on here)
Zombieland
Office Space (I can relate to this movie)

Also:

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Bubba Hotep (Elvis + Zombies + Bruce Campbell = win)
Spaceballs
Kung Fu Hustle (The movie has a goddamn road runner sequence with real actors LOL)
Army of Darkness (Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun)
The Austin Powers movies
Tropic Thunder (I'm the dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude)
Zoolander
Dodgeball
Shaun of the Dead
Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog

I'm sure there are plenty others if I sat down and thought about it.

Just some movies I find funny, in no order:

Blazing Saddles
The Big Lebowski
The Holy Grail
Clerks
The Great Outdoors
This is Spinal Tap
Grandma's Boy
Anchorman
Role Models
Spaceballs
Trains, Planes, & Automobiles
Hot Fuzz

That's all I got for now; I'm sure there's tons I've missed.

Love that movie, but the second act is like watching paint dry. Movie comes to a complete halt where the only funny gag is someone having to poop.
Really?!

It's the only film I can think of where I've started it over again just after finishing it. I wish I could say the same thing about the terrible sequels. I couldn't even make it through those once.

I'd also like to profess my love for Woody Allen movies, and anything by Matt Stone & Trey Parker. Not sure if anything by them has been mentioned yet.

Oh, and the Hangover sucked.

Season 2 was my least favorite (excluding the first one that nobody likes). It seemed lewder than the rest.

Good to see Bottom fans on here. Are you aware they are doing a new series? I'm not sure how it will be, but it's something British comedy definitely needs. Slapstick and knob gags :) I think my favourite episode is the Christmas one, it's just non-stop one-liners. I actually didn't enjoy the movie they made, felt it was too over the top. But it's definitely an underrated sitcom, just as smartly written and performed as the greatest sitcoms.

I should rewatch the third season myself, I think It wasn't as funny as the second season, but I might be wrong, I've seen S2 and S4 multiple times while I've watched seasons 1 and 3 only once. I do not plan on watching the first one again though

Yeah, I'm hyped about it. I always thought that British sitcoms and sketch comedies on average are a lot better than American ones after watching shows like Alas Smith And Jones, Bottom, Black Adder, Keeping Up Appearances, Red Dwarf, Monthy Python, and the first season of Little Britain but my God there were a lot of really horrible shows on the TV when I visited London back in 2008&2010. I think the fault is partially on the fact that many shows and movies I found funny back when I was 10-14 stopped being funny to me after I turned 16/17. Nevertheless I think that based on what I've seen, the quality of British comedy has dramatically decreased over the years when you compare modern shows with the ones from 1980s/early 1990s.
