Main thing that gives me pause about the price is that while yes, the AES and MVS were never cheap, they're also old. Something the press release even mentions - "following the 20th anniversary" and all. Many of the games themselves were released on other systems in bargain priced collections.
IMO, the main thing that's missing is how they plan to distribute the rest of the game library for it. If they're going to offer $20 compilation carts or something, then it could prove to be a good deal, particularly if it's a SOAC and not emulation.

Meh, I'll stick with my PS2 and my Neo Geo Online Collection Catalog. $200 seems a lil pricey.

Oh! I hadn't realized until you brought it up! Do I win something? Looks like I used my 1000 post in the Under Defeat thread. Well, if my comment comes true, then it was worth

Neo Geo online Collection were compilation releases of many of SNK famous franchises on a disc for PS2 that can be played thru an online server. We got a few of these collection here in the state but with the exclusion of online play (SamSho Antho, World Heroes Antho, FF BA vol. 1 and 2, etc).

And I could just go on the underground gamer invite thread, get a invite and get a emulator and games for free.
I think you missed the entire point.
And havent looked at prices of AES games.

If this thing could play MVS or AES games, It would be a day 1 purchase for me. But as is, I feel like I would be better off getting the SNK collection for Wii and a tatsunoko stick.

I liked the Idea of a brand new system... but if it's just emulation, I don't really see the point to be honest
