I wonder if this incident will help the ticket sales.

(edit: And for Imbecile Joe: No, I'm not minimizing the people who got hurt/killed. I seriously would like to know how something like this affects the sales.)

I don't think it will help but not really hurt either. Ledger dieing did help with the previous one though

Definitely the last place I would expect something like this to happen.
Let's see. A place of relaxation. What was the rating on the movie and why?

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action

Yep, real relaxing.
What the fuck are you even trying to get at with this? That people deserve to be fucking KILLED because they want to be entertained by an action movie?

That's a pretty fucked up post to make. Seriously.
Where did I make any statement to the effect of anyone deserving to die? I guess people failed to understand what I was getting at. You commented that movies are supposed to be a place of relaxation. I was pointing out that the movie was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action. I am sure that there are lots of people who would not find "intense scenes of violence" relaxing. I merely used the rating for the movie that was being discussed.

So what? You can't relax and enjoy an action film or horror film?

I'm sorry, I don't see what it has to do with the issue at hand. Going LOL HOW CAN THEY RELAX IT'S AN ACTION MOVIE is just... dumb, honestly.

I think I get what Jimmy is trying to say.

Personally, I got to the movies to be entertained, not to relax. If I go to an action movie, I expect to be excited. If I see a horror, I expect it to be intense and to make me a little jumpy.

If I want to relax I'll read a book or turn off all the electronics in my room and sit down with a pair of headphones and listen to music.

Again, I think I see the point, it's just that it needed to be delivered in a more sensitive manner. I didn't get the feeling he was mocking anyone who was in the theatre.

I saw an 8 year old at a Deep Purple concert once. Poor kid was really starting to doze off near the end. My guess is parents want to see the movie and it's really hard to find a sitter for so late at night. And I'm sure the kid is a fan of Batman anyway.

True, but still.....Nolanverse and all.

I know it's a horrible thing, but death of kids makes me so sad, I can't just stop thinking if the parents hadn't brought her with them she'd still be alive. Though if I think that, I can't imagine how devastated the parents must be right now :(. I hope they don't feel guilty about this, it wasn't their fault :'(

I am glad that someone else understands what I was trying for. I was commenting on the concept of "scenes of intense violence" being "relaxing". If that relaxes someone, I am not sure I want to know that they are needing to relax from. For relaxation, I would figure that most people, if going to a movie, would go for a comedy or maybe a romance.

I meant no offense to anyone, I was strictly looking at the concept as an oxymoron.
