That was a huge disappointment. I bought it for those Smash Pack discs after the crappy sound on the DC port, and they have a very small resolution which you cannot adjust, and the games on the Smash Pack 1 disc RESET TO THE MAIN MENU after about 5 minutes of play. Very annoying.

I will look into those. Thank you from one classic fan to another :)

Oh yeah, another one:

I did NOT like Chrono Cross. Played it through to the end too.

It's clear, VM boxes or not, those Smash Pack discs are all bugged to hell. I managed to get proper screen resolution, but you can't even play the games after 3-4 times, it kicks you back to the menu. Not worth my time

As I was playing THPS2 today, I noticed something that I do a lot of, especially on DC.

Any game that has licensed music, I always turn off.

Never really got into all that stuff in the late 90s. Crazy Taxi, Test Drive 6, THPS2, whatever

When I was in middle school I bought a Gamecube only to sell it for an Xbox...then sold that to re-buy a Gamcube

Virtualbox is great and free. I've been using it for years. The combo smash pack disk just has a problem though. It won't work properly no matter where you run it. I've run it on 98, 98SE, XP, vista, and wine. The pack's game ROMs are encrypted too, so you can't directly play them in a different emulator.

Eventually I worked around the issue by loading a game in the collection, pausing the collection with esc, and then using HxD to copy the loaded game's decrypted ROM file out of my computer's RAM. Then I just played the ROM in a functioning emu.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.
