SO GOOD! It's probably even better than Mitsuda's work on Xenosaga 1-2...

I just looked at Ebay completed listings for the game. I really don't understand why people just didn't preorder it for GS or Nintendo. People are for the most part paying at least 10 bucks over what they would of to just preorder from GS.

elsewhere I read something about people upset that Gamestop.com dint take international credit cards. So the eBay buyers may be ex-pats or others abroad with NA Wiis. Just one thought.

Yes, often odd pricing on eBay is explained by international bidders who can't get the item any other way. This is one reason why USA only auctions always end lower than international auctions.

My local gamestop still had copies.
I am not a fan of sandbox games, including RPGs, so I was worried about this one. I had some gift cards to use and didn't want to pass up on a limited edition game that I wanted to play... needless to say I was scared when I put the game in last night.

The intro was enough to suck me into the story and I am about 3 hours into it and have not really done much of the story, instead I have enjoyed running around completing side quests. I just got the second character and both of my characters have the best weapons and armor from the first store.

The thing that did mess me up for a while was that I spent too much time looking for the person who assigned me a quest upon completion... then I realized that I don't need to "turn in" all of the quests on this game. Or do I? I'm still slightly confused.

In the end I am loving this game because there is always an arrow to point you toward the direction of the story so if you get sidetracked too long on other quests you will never be totally lost (something I hate about other open world games).

Note that you will find many of the store items available for trade from the town's citizens. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of money if you do many quests, but you can save money by trading (since you use the full value of the item instead of a fraction from selling).

I am at the point where I am leaving Colony 9, and I believe I only had three quests which required me to return to the originator. The rest of the time, the quests auto-complete in the field.

It's weird, but I definitely think I like the fact you don't have to return to the quest givers to complete them. Keeps the game speedier and going. I'm not an MMO fan at all so I was a little fearful of all those elements here in the game, but so far I'm completely loving it. About 3 hours in, in some caves now. I've already spent a lot of time just wandering around and stuff.

The game is also available for Gamefly now, won't be surprised if we continue to see it pop up elsewhere eventually too:

I'm not quite sure how trading works. Any tips?
