On the topic of PC/digital games... has the issue of DRM been addressed yet?

Re: Which game medium do you prefer?
For me, all things considered, it goes: Cartridge > Digital > Disc. Cartridges have fast load times, and are easier to keep in good condition. Steam has proven that digital downloads can be very cheap and convenient, so that's a BIG plus. Discs are flimsy, hard to keep in good condition, but they are cheap and do store a lot of data.
Re: Which game medium do you prefer?
disk games are almost always cib. carts usualy arent and if they are they are also expensive. That is one thing I like about disks. If you look after your games there is no reason why your disks would ever stop working.

Disc for me.
I have more faith in the longevity of a post year 2000 CD than I do the memory (let alone battery-back up) of a cartridge or the corrosive buildup on cartridges. And, like another poster mentioned, disc formats with hard cases are much, much, much easier to find in good condition and CIB. They also lend themselves to 'CD wallet' type storage.

Re: Which game medium do you prefer?
For new stuff, I generally lean toward digital if only because it helps to save so much space. Choosing between disc and cart, I'd have to go with disc because most of my favorite games have come to that medium. Going by idealistic tech standards, I've pick carts if they had limitless storage space at no extra cost to me since load times would be non-existent. So....I guess I want everything on SD Cards or SSDs? :p

Those are actually pretty bad for your discs.k.vlaros wrote:Disc for me.
