Well, if you practice Judaism (I hate to even call it that since we both fall under the Judeo-Christian umbrella), I can understand your thinking my assumption is flawed. Obviously, for me, Grace supercedes Law.MrPopo wrote:You're working off of a flawed assumption, though. Let's ignore my beliefs. What about the other world religions that don't have that root in Judaism? They have just as much evidence as you do that their religion is the right one.s1mplehumar wrote:Well, if you practice Judaism (I hate to even call it that since we both fall under the Judeo-Christian umbrella), I can understand your thinking my assumption is flawed. Not giving anything up until i'm dead underground. Plenty of time to abstain while feeding the worms and not existing metaphorically within some judgmental afterlife.
Re: Lent
I already have my own conclusions, but I am curious as to what others' are. I looked at your passage and I don't see any relevance to my inquiry. The best I can make of it is that it is trying to say something to the effect of "God exists. Can't you see? It's, like, soooo obvious, man. But you don't glorify him. The hell, man? You're evil." Maybe your point is that Bible passages are easy to misinterpret and therefore exist many different flavors of Christianity?s1mplehumar wrote:I encourage you to study and come up with your own conclusions. In the meantime, I would recommend you study this passage: Romans 1:19-21.
Are there any Bible passages that can help me win petty arguments with Nintendo fanboys?

Is there a book in the Bible called Super Nintendo? No. Is there one called Genesis? Yes. Guess which side of the console wars God is on....Redifer wrote:I already have my own conclusions, but I am curious as to what others' are. I'm giving up Coca Cola. Mainly as I seem to drink it every day and it isn't doing my body any good. I'm not religious although my girlfriend is Catholic, it's just as good a time as any!
