We'll discuss your answers on the show

I don't know how obscure the 3DO was, sometimes things like that are hard to tell, but my friend had one and I really enjoyed it and one of my favorite games was Twisted! which was a silly game show video game that was a lot of fun to play in a party. I especially remember a silly guy with a fez hat that would make hilarious comments like "OH! I am dancing with joy!" Fun times.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

again, not "obscure" as far as this forum goes, but I was the only person I knew with a TG16 back in the day. We got it on clearance from EB or Babbages right around the time the system was dying off in the States. I thought it was an awesome system, but sadly I never got to really get any of the games I wanted the system for (Bonk, Splatterhouse, etc) since we were limited to what few clearance titles were left.

Outside of our Commodore 64 (which I considered obscure when everyone else had a NES), the first system I got was a Game Gear - which was equally obscure amongst anyone I knew. Everybody had a Game Boy or had moved to the 16-bit era and I was relegated to being a huge Game Gear fanboy. I poured over every Sega Visions magazine looking for anything about the system.
I played the hell out of the Sonic games, Columns, NBA Jam, Castle of Illusion, Joe Montana Football and The Majors Pro Baseball.

Here's a new question for you: What is the best retro-game compilation ever released and why?

I would have to say Super Mario Allstars. It brought a new game to the Mario franchise and updated the graphics and you got to use the great SNES controller.
