There's also points, so you can try to beat high scores. This is especially good for Sonic 1 and 2 where you can input a code for level select.AppleQueso wrote:That's because the stages all have multiple paths and are all designed to be played over and over.Hazerd wrote:I could never get into a Sonic game either, they are just too fast and i feel like im missing parts of the stage.harper wrote:I really really hate to be the one to say it, but Sonic games hardly even have to be played. Like Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, the game looks great and everything, but you could practically just sit back and watch the game happen, and Sonic R is the same way, they're just too fast and there's no substance. Of course that is just my opinion, but I just wanted to put that out there. I've had bottled up feelings about it for a while. haha
Also don't use post-genesis Sonic games to try and discredit the franchise please. If you're gonna play Sonic, stick to the Genesis games.

If only the Super NES had maintained its intended NES backwards compatibility to justify the slow CPU. There would have never been this debate. Even the Sega executives would sport a SNES in the office.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

Agreed.Jontendo wrote:Any Nintendo fan should, if only begrudgingly, appreciate Sega (and vice versa) for the competition that made both of them better!
Despite my personal tilt, I have and enjoy both brands; Wouldn't have it any other way.
But Nintendo's still better.

Re: Nintendo vs Sega
How about we break this into smaller arguments? I'm assuming we're talking about 16-bit wars and not the companies in general, so I'm going to compare two similar add-ons: the Super Game Boy and Master Base Converter.
MBC: $35, plays games from a meh console with no improvements.
SGB: $10, plays games from an amazing console with the improvement of color.
Now kiddies, which do you want?

The Master System already had color.GameMasterGuy wrote:How about we break this into smaller arguments? I'm assuming we're talking about 16-bit wars and not the companies in general, so I'm going to compare two similar add-ons: the Super Game Boy and Master Base Converter.
