How is the Wii doing?
Re: How is the Wii doing?
when the wii u comes out is when wii games will be cheapest I imagine. When everyone trades in there games to get a better deal on the wii u is when I'll cash in. I've been buying some cheap used games but most of the big games kirby, mario, donkey kong etc are still expensive at most places I've seen. Video ezy sell ex-rental games for extremely cheap but they write on the booklets and disks with permanent marker and glue the booklets to the cover. So annoying!!

I felt it was pretty cool to use for the extra $10. You can wrap the numchuk cord in the rod and it looks really sharp.Opa Opa wrote:Did you get the controller bundle?k.vlaros wrote:(Fishing Resort is the most OCD fishing game ever made)

Re: How is the Wii doing?
I've always thought Opoona had future valuable title written all over it. It's a niche RPG, with an assumedly low print run and nobody ever talks about it (...yet?).
I almost picked it up myself, but the battle system looks sort of iffy, and I always choose something else instead. Maybe this'll bite me in the ass later, but I'm not one to buy a game for rarity's sake. There are others higher up on my Wii list anyhow.
... or how about Lost in Shadow? Found it for $10 new at Best Buy a while back. Beautiful game.

Re: How is the Wii doing?
That's the thing, I keep a list of games that I want to get, sorted by priority. So I never impulse buy anymore. I'm probably gonna end up buying a whole bunch of dirt cheap games I do want to play, but I'll never have the time to do so.pakopako wrote:Yes.Pichu wrote:But then again, my backlog (and probably my mom too) would not be happy with me for doing that. On the other hand...if I get them for sub-$10 I wouldn't feel too bad....
ARGH! Can someone who's been gaming forever tell me if they go through this at the end of a systems life?
Don't worry. If you end up with a bunch of lemons, get the console for cheap and sell the bundle.
To avoid ending up like this or this, pick games you might like or always wanted to get.
Funny comics too, especially that first one.

Re: How is the Wii doing?
Same here. I picked up three games for it in addition to the Super Mario Bros that game with it-- Kirby's Epic Yarn is fun, yet relaxing. Also got Galaxy 1 for $20 at Walmart and Kirby's Return to Dreamland from my in-laws.christopher85 wrote:I received a Wii for Christmas and I'm loving it! Agree with the poster who said patience is a virtue! This is my first Wii, and games are very reasonable now!!

didn't overlook it, no. I know the rumors but until it's officially announced for NoA I'm not holding my breath. It'll be a must-get for me if it is localized. If not, I probably won't fuss with the NoE import.Hazerd wrote:You totally missed The Last Storyk.vlaros wrote:that the Wii basically has three games left of interest (Rhythm Heaven, Xenoblade, and DQ 10)

Re: How is the Wii doing?
I been thinking of what console I want to get next generation... and it looks like it will be a Wii U. Of course, I'm not going to just jump right in. I want to give it a couple of months for me to get the idea of how good it is, and have a decent library built up. Then, I will have a way to play all the Wii games I've been wanting.
My friends will call me out for leaving them on Xbox, but I'm not sure if I want a NeXBox.

Re: How is the Wii doing?
I sold half my Wii collection while their prices were high. I'll list later all the Wii games I want to purchase/repurchase.

Smart move, as long as none of the titles you sold become expensive and collectable.swiftzx wrote:I sold half my Wii collection while their prices were high. I'll list later all the Wii games I want to purchase/repurchase.
Anyway, I think Wii today = Gamecube in 2006, minus Twilight Princess.
