And questions, what about the fleets now stuck in the sol system, like the turrians, when mass relays blow up don't they destroy the system they are in? Like in the Mass Effect 2 DLC, if so then did shepard just destroy more then the reapers? Choices did matter when added up.
They are big choices that don't matter in the context of the narrative. They are just numbers on your war readiness board, as the consequences of those choices are long term consequences. Do the Krogan hit the war path again? How does the Quarian Geth integration play out? You could put in a quick "100 years later" scene that shows a little bit of this, or you can save it for later. Maybe the next game in the ME universe is set many generations later in a galaxy that is rebuilding from the loss of the mass relays.

But again, your choices don't really matter in the grand scheme of things for the scope of the narrative. You fight the reapers with a fleet of strength X. The composition of that fleet doesn't matter one bit from the perspective of the narrative.
In 3 no but in the previous 2 they did or at least had the illusion they did, hell you can get shepard killed in 2 if you make the wrong choices. I would be happy if they added a prologue scene as free DLC or even a different ending as DLC for people that want it, but not required for those that do not. It just did not provide the closer we were promised by Bioware, who did say there would be a large amount of ending's based on your choices. Plus the ending just seemed quickly done and not the same quality as the previous ones, But that just my opinion.

Exactly, nice to know I am not the only one, then again 90 percent of the fanbase seem to hate it, I blame EA owning them. Will never get a game new from them again. They have shaken my confidence.

I just beat it and shared my thoughts: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 95#p583695

The ending was fine, really. It would have been nice if there was a wider variety of final cutscenes, but the ones that are there are ok. The final hours leading up to the end felt like a fitting conclusion to the series.

Also,
taking a drive and shooting shit on top of the Citadel with Garrus
was a great scene.

Interesting that you felt the DLC added so much to the story. I did the whole thing without purchasing it (squad member I wouldn't use and a 30 minute mission wasn't compelling for me) and I thought that the whole thing came together pretty well.

I realized midway through my ME3 playthrough that I had played my Shepard as Malcom Reynolds (even though I hadn't seen Firefly at the time I played ME1 & 2). And I started to see ME2 as Firefly while ME3 was more Serenity. In ME2 I was rushing about, getting stuff done, and protecting my crew. Then ME3 comes around and so much shit hits the fan that I have no choice but to continue on the course and make everyone's sacrifice count.

Well, given that the second half of the game has you pursuing a particular thing, and given that the character in that DLC is closely related to the origins of that thing, it added a lot to the missions late in the game. I brought him with me on probably 2/3 of the missions in the last 1/3 of the game.

besides the one loop hole that all the blanks are destroyed and in a previous mission from Mass Effect 2 it was shown that destroying said items took out the whole solar system they were in so, in that way you just destroyed all the major solar systems, and other plot holes, and the fact that none of the choices form previous games mattered, which is something they said would change the endings. I also thought that scene was great.
