What planet are you on man? Between this comment all your Japan lusting you should just pack your bags. I'm serious. I'm not trying to be a crude arse.

I watched more American football anime than I have of the real thing, so it's a habit to call it that. But also, this is the internet, so that means people from all over the world are reading it. If I say football, some people may not be sure what sport I am talking about, so I wanted to specify.

But yeah, I have a huge hard on for Japan and I'm an otaku and all that. It's true.

Amazon was out of stock for a day, maybe less than a day, and 3rd party sellers raised the price of the game by $25. You think that's OK? That sounds more like greed to me. And greed, in my opinion, is one of the biggest problems in this country. Hell, maybe even the world.

If you saw the game for sale, on Amazon, sold by Amazon, with free shipping, for $25 off, would you, out of principle, wait for the price to go up before buying it? Or would you buy it for a big discount and be happy about it? If so, how is that not greed by your reasoning?

Very condescending, whether you meant it or not. Oh, is that what it's called? I've never heard of that before. Hmm, I guess I'll find out when I take an economics class in high school.

Because I, the consumer, did not set the price. Wanting to buy an item at a discounted price is not greed. Classic troll tactics, trying to turn my words around to work against me.

Inazuma wrote:I'm just saying that everyone is different and there could be a good reason why someone decides to pay extra. Or, they could be an idiot. Maybe they are actually poor and had to shop at Amazon because of a gift card someone had given them. I'm not patronizing you at all.

Fair enough. But we could make up "what if" scenarios all day long, it wont change my point.

It's bullshit that the 3rd party sellers raise prices like that when Amazon runs out of stock. Whether some one is willing to buy an item at the inflated price is immaterial. "Yeah, well that's supply and demand." No, it isn't. That game was available at its regular price plenty of other places. Maybe you could argue supply and demand in the confines of Amazon.com, but even then, the third party sellers seemed to have plenty of stock. "Yeah, well 3rd party Amazon sellers are charged vendor fees." Ah, so that burden falls on the consumer? I'm still standing by my point.

Come on, guys. It's bull shit and you know it.

I'm done with this pointless nonsense. I'm stopping this train wreck before it happens. You guys are making excuses why sellers can mark up a game $25 during Christmas time. If you wanna continue arguing this, feel free to make a dedicated thread for it. Ask a mod to splice these posts out into a new thread to get ya started. Hell, I might even chime in with ya's. But I'd appreciate it if you'd all stop derailing this thread with this fruitless argument. "But you're the one that pointed it out!" Yeah, well, I meant it as a minor observation. I didn't think it would consume this thread. I made this thread to talk about this awesome game. So if your next post in this thread isn't about how much you love or hate this game, I suggest you post elsewhere.

PS: I'm not mad.
