So far Leixia (or her fighting style, at least) has been my favorite. Ivy is too weird. Really missing Cassandra and Sophitia...neither of their 'replacements' feel right. I'm hoping that maybe those two are hidden characters or something.

But yeah, this is a pretty good game! Probably my favorite since Soul Calibur 2 for the gamecube.
wait, wait, wait... Sophitia is not in it???

Interesting waning...
I don't know if she is or isn't. I am avoiding spoilers and I have not unlocked any secret characters of which there are many.

One of the main characters is supposed to be Sophitia's daughter and her fighting style is very, very similar. I just prefer Cassandra, personally.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I wish the missing characters movesets were at least available for character creation.

It's a Namco game right? Just wait for the DLC!

Izzy...I don't know if you're reading this man but if you are...I have already downloaded a DLC pack for a game that just released today. It felt good.

I actually like Sophitia's daughter, think her name was Pyrra, or something close. I loved winning with her because she didn't seem like she was trying to fight, and I think she combines the movesets of Cassandra and Sophitia. But yeah, it's not quite the same.

I didn't like Sophitia's son though. Didn't try him, but his style seemed completely different.

You're going to hate the story mode, then!

Sigh....I figured as much. Did you try it though? Characters aside, I'm actually hoping it has a good story mode, after what those trailers showed...

I'm at the beginning of it still so I do not know how it will shape up to be but so far I like it. The cut-scenes are not terribly intrusive and they seem to be telling a story that is kinda out there but still VERY coherent by fighting game standards. I also like all the screen time Tira is getting.

This may sound dumb, but does each story have separate but intertwining stories, or does it focus on Sophitia's son? I'm trying not to get any spoilers at all, but it seems both of Sophitia's children are center stage this time around.

I am not far enough to say for sure. I am literally only a few chapters in.
