Pre-agricultural man was also old by 30. I'm okay with my grains.

It's easier to just incorporate a little exercise into your life. It's amazing what happens to someone who is completely sedentary when they add as little as 20 minutes of aerobic exercise into their daily routine.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The introduction of cereal grains into mans diet 10,000 years ago is more or less responsible for heart diseases, cancers, obesity, diabetes and a host of other health related problems. Pre-agricultural man would have almost never have suffered from these conditions (and this is easily proven through extensive biological, evolutionary and anthropological research).

While it is impossible to completely mimic the diets of our ancestors, you would do wonders to your health to at least try.

I'm with ya on the Paleo/Primal diet philosophy, but we need to stop derailing threads shouting about it, it's seriously a turn-off.

To defend that I believe they argue that primal man died that young due to accident and injury rather than today's killers (heart disease, etc.). I'm totally with you that aerobic exercise, with less than 75% of maximum heart rate for 20 minutes or less 2 to 3 times a week would do wonders for everybody.

Ok, first problem is I first joined a "DewMocracy" about 2 years ago, so...not sure how that part works.

Also, holy crap I knew I did too many squats for the first day - and I didn't do many at that, my upper thighs are just sore as balls.

Yeah I totally jacked up my back this morning, I'll be living on Ibuprofen for a couple of days.

Life expectancy dipped into the low 20s after the advent of agriculture and did not return to the 30s until like the 1700s. The reason life expectancy is so high today (at least in industrialized nations) is solely due to a dramatic decrease in infant mortality and modern medicine to help keep us living. Pre-agricultural man, by comparison would have been a lot healthier.

I am also not suggesting to not exercise. Incorporating low to moderate cardio, and some strength training into a Paleolithic diet is paramount. It is far better that exercising until you pass out and eating a reduced fat, reduced calorie diet.

Well I certainly did not find my comments to be hostile in any way. I’m just trying to get people to consider alternatives, what you do is ultimately up to you.

Oh I don't think he found your remarks hostile. He's probably just trying to stay on track, as diet discussions (and the Paleo diet among them) have been somewhat common topics for arguments in the past few months.

Day 2 and my post-agricultural body was too sore after one day to do anything.

Back on the horse tomorrow though.

I spent the evening drinking, something science has proven is almost as good for you as exercising or not drinking. I expect incredible results tomorrow.

Yeah, I didn't find them hostile, I found them to be not what this thread is about. If this thread was about someone deciding whether they should go vegan or not, then I would say, talk all about the advantages of going primal. Since it is whether or not you want to go and exercise with the rest of us schlubs and not diet choice, you come off as a fanatic.
