Agreed. Not that that's always a good thing (cough*CnC*cough). :P

I think I'll do emulating for the high priced games. Otherwise I'm generally happy with the selection. If I end up not liking Command and Conquer, I may just play Ogre Battle anyway. :P

Jan - Golden Axe Warrior
I've barely touched my Sonic super mega ultra deluxe Genesis bestest collection evar really we mean it this time, is this a game that needs to be unlocked? Will check the manual later I guess. Looking forward to this one.

Feb - Soul Calibur 1
Pass

Mar - Y's I
Have a TG burn unless I nab a cheap copy. Haven't tried playing it at all so will be looking forward to it too.

April - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Pass

May - Wolfenstein 3D
Not sure I ever beat it, will be playing on the PC and hopefully have time to finish it this time. Hopefully the more primitive controls won't bug me too much now.

June - Command & Conquer
Pass

July - Treasure Heroes 2 Pack - Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes
Haven't really given my Guardian any attention, so hopefully give it a good amount of love.

August -Bomberman 94
Will need to try and obtain this installment.

Sept - Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic
Pass

October - Maniac Mansion/Crush series
Definitely some Alien/Dragon/Jaki playing. Perhaps I'll try to snag the TG version of the second.

November - Panel de Pon
Have GB, N64, and DS versions to choose from.

December - Do Don Pachi
Maybe I'll get some more practice in so I don't suck so bad.

Maniac Mansion is on Amiga, but make sure you have the manual if you go that route, otherwise you won't be able to beat the game. (It has the copy protection thing that makes you look up something in the manual in order to proceed at one point).

played the hell out of it as a kid. It's good. Simplified a bit. Nice graphics. EXCELLENT soundtrack. But, it's well-documented that it's very edited as well. Nintendo was kind of prudish and cut a lot of things out.

hint: it's a collection of Genesis games. GAW is a SMS game. You tell me if it needs to be unlocked.

Ouch, all the games I might be interested in are in the second half of the year =/

Jan - Golden Axe Warrior (Pass)
Feb - Soul Calibur 1 (Pass)
Mar - Y's I (Pass)
April - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (pass)

May - Wolfenstein 3D
Have to say, I'm not too thrilled to play W3D, I don't think it has aged well, but I might give it a shot, just to write a review or something.

June - Command & Conquer
I really wnt to play this one, I loved Red Alert. This is the original game, right?

July - Treasure Heroes 2 Pack - Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes (Pass)

August -Bomberman 94
I would probably be forced to emulate but I can give it a shot

Sept - Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic
I'm in to analize Lost Levels and compare. Unless it's only about Doki DOki, then I'm not interested,

October - Maniac Mansion/Crush series
I suggested Maniac Mansion so I HAVE to play it =p

November - Panel de Pon
Easily emulated or played with the Pokemon versions so I'll join. Let's see how it goes.

December - Do Don Pachi
This was one of the first danmakus I played. Easy to get into, very good design. Play it for sure.

That's it. So, I will have to wait half a year =/

Cool Tony Hawks Comparison video I found. It only shows the PS1 vs N64 versions though. N64 looks nicer, but apparently there are few levels? It seems a tad slower too. I dunno if its this guys recording equipment or something, but the PS1 music seems really choppy. It's not like that in-game is it?

Edit: Just watched some videos of Command and Conquer too. The console versions look nicer than the PC version from what I saw. Does the PS1 version support a mouse?

N64 seems to have totally different graphic style to the others. Also, the N64 and PS1 games have a few exclusive missions.

Jan - Golden Axe Warrior- Sounds fun!

Feb - Soul Calibur 1- Not playing. I don't really like these games.

Mar - Ys I- YES!!!!!!

April - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2- Might play it if I can find it cheap.

May - Wolfenstein 3D- Never played a good version. It could be a great month though.

June - Command & Conquer- I know nothing about this game. I'll have to wait for the article.

July - Treasure Heroes 2 Pack - Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes- Sounds expensive.

August -Bomberman 94- I really like '94. I hope to beat it that month.:)

Sept - Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic- Well that came out of nowhere. I guess I won't be playing. I'm not a big Mario 2 fan.

October - Maniac Mansion/Crush series- Hmm...

November - Panel de Pon- Nope. I'll be playing Puyo Puyo.

December - Do Don Pachi- I'm in.
